Clyde shook the tree as well climbed the branches. Loosing my pawing (Or footing for any hoomans reading) I tried to grab onto a branch but before I could I slipped and fell out of the tree 4 feet away from Clyde. When Mochi realized this she dropped down beside me. She helped me up and we both ran for our lives,
" We have to find the guards!" I told Mochi almost out of breath
" No!" She hissed " most of them were killed last night! The best chance of living is to out loose him!" She whispered so quietly that I could barley hear her. Much less Clyde.
We ran into the woods where we knew a river was. We would play here when we were younger. We dodged branches that caught Clyde off guard, we jumped over logs and kept running. Finally we saw the river. Mochi barley made it over the river and kept running not getting tired because of the fear rushing through her veins. She kept running and running not looking back. To see me falling downstream. I scaned the area hoping to find a tree or something, anything that I could grab and get to safety. When I saw nothing I panicked but got embarrassed when I realized I could touch the bottom of the river. It was so long since we've been here. And with all that happened, I guess I forgot how much I grew. But I didn't have time to think about that Clyde was still chasing us. It was only when I got out of the river that I heard breathing. We had not been able to outrun him, I had not been able to outrun him.
