POV:Uri

I woke with a fright to the sound of my door quickly creaking open. I moved my hand down the side of my bed to reach for the red handled dagger. A gift from a friendly knight to make me feel more safe but honestly I just felt dangerous, like I was going to cause pain but I guess in such a time of need I have to ensure my safety... only if I had my plushie. This intruder won't know what hit him. I spun around to turn on my lamp and without aiming I blindly threw the dagger across my dorm room. I opened my eyes to see a terrified Puzzle pressed up against my brown wooden dorm door and a dagger wedged in my door centimetres away from her left eye. Relief washed over me as I saw her familiar face.
"Oh it's you," I sighed in relief, her paralysed expression worried me deeply, "you okay?"
"You should have gone slightly more to the right."
"You ju- It jus- What th- Whyy!" She stammered, partially shaking at the fact that I just launched a dagger at her face.
"You scared me," I said.
"Doesn't mean you should throw a knife at me!" She yelled in harsh whisper.
"Why are you whispering?" I asked sitting up on my bed.
"Because.." She was about explain as the sound of foot soldiers marched past the hallway.
"Sound the alarm and block all exits" a deep voice shouted, a couple feet from outside my door. This was probably her fault.
"What did you do?" I asked in frustration.
"I don't know what did you do?" She asked.
"Puzz..."I exclaimed, hoping to withdraw a proper answer.
"Well I kinda.."She trailed off
"PUZZ!" I spoke in anger.
"Ok ok so like it- well you see-" she sighed, "It was really pretty and I wanted it because he had it and I didn't have is so I took it but this was a few days ago and they didn't know it was me until today and now everybody is angry at me and I don't know why."
"What did you steal?"
A loud knock banged on my door.A squirmish high pitch voice spoke
"Room check! Open the door."
"CRaP!" She panicked, "I have to hide."
She scramble into my closet.
"Open the door now!" The voice yelled banging in.
I stood up, wincing in pain from my injuries of the experiments. They weren't fully healed yet and the doctor said that my back would definitely take some time to heal. The bad people took one of my wings but I have no idea why only one. Even the most well trained doctors find it difficult to remove fairy wings without causing death as they are all so unique plus being attached to the spine if a fairy was to miraculously survive such an ordeal permanent damage to the nerve system is very probable.
All of a sudden my door bursts open.
"Hey! What if I was getting dressed?" I pointed out hoping to receive an apology or something I could threaten to tell the higher authorities if he didn't go away.
"That's extremely rude"
Instead he took no notice of my hypothetical question and continued to briefly look around my room. l quickly leaned over and grabbed my round glasses and placed them on my nose, with this sudden sight I examined him. He was a quite squirmish boy, not very tall then again not on the short side either. He had short spiky ginger hair that matched his freckles it look quite soft. He came up to me I shuffled on my bed thinking he was going to take me away but then he fell on his knees and hands and looked under the bed.
"Can I help you?" I asked in complete disapproval of his actions. I'm still new to this free outside world but I do not like how he is behaving at this moment. As far as he knows he's come into my from in the middle of the night and is inspecting it like the kitchen that's going to prepare his food.
Puzzle taught me that, and a lot of other things too. Thanks to her I'm no longer in that awful lab and I'm starting to learn to customs of the outside human world. I now know what kitchens are what bedrooms are and loads of other interesting events humans have and how they name every single day. Not like Susan or Timothy but 'Moondah' and 'Choosedah.' Yet I may not know enough about their traditions I'm not a fan of waking you up in the middle of the night to check under your bed.
He stood up from under my bed and walked to my windows, then commented. "We are doing an emergency room check for the thief. The Grand Master's bismuth
jewel was reported missing a few days go and an eye witness has come forward to say that the intruder was seen to have fading blue hair, a patched up jumper and goes by the name of 'Sumentta'."
That's Puzzles full name.
"She was seen on this side of the camp so evidence concludes that she must have an accomplice." He continued to explain while lifting the curtains to check behind, "The orders are to find the people responsible and have them punished in jail." He noticed my closet and began to walk towards it. I may not know what jail is but I DO know 'punish' that is one of the few things I remember from the bad place. I must stop him from finding Puzzle because she saved my life and if she's found we will both get in trouble.
"Wait!" I yelled without thinking, "Don't go in there!"
He looked at me with suspicion, "Why not?" He asked edging closer to my closet.
"Well..." I trailed off trying to think of an excuse, "You see I have stuff in there I don't want people to see... like underwear and..."
He opened my closet, "And escapee criminals" he said answering my sentence for me.
"I uh- it's-" I tried to explain but he cut me off.
"I FOUND HER!" He shouted into the direction of my open door. Then grabbing Puzzles arm pulling her out of the closet, other members of the Phoenix rush in and take the two of us by both arms. My glasses almost falling off, I quickly push my glasses up the bridge of my nose. The only thing I can be thankful for is the fact that I didn't sleep naked.
