"ramona, wait up!" she turned around, a smile forming on her face when she saw the person running up to her. it was mattia, a friend of hers since they were little, but only one of them caught feelings. it was obvious which one it was, it was ramona, but she knew nothing was going to happen between them, so she tried to push her feelings away 24/7, but they never leave her. though he couldn't see her the same way, he just saw her as ramona, regular best friend since little ramona. how was it that she caught feelings? she tried to be careful around him, but how on earth did she catch feelings for him?
"so, what's up?" it was always something when mattia told her to wait up, it was just the way it was. they would usually meet up, but whenever he wanted her to wait for him, she knew something was up.
"i was wondering if we could take a rain check on tonight? i have a date with someone tonight so i won't be able to hang out with you." ramona had no words, she wanted to say something, but words wouldn't come out. she felt her heart tug a little, but she pushed that feeling away, trying to act as happy as possible for him.
"oh, yeah, we can. who's the girl that has to deal with you?" he chuckled at her, shaking his head but whatever made him happy, she should be happy for him.
"it's nina, your friend. yeah, after you introduced us she started talking to me then she asked me out."
"you're kidding," shock and anger ran through her, but she tried to act as collected as possible. she tried to keep her temper in check, but then again, he doesn't know about her feelings for him. nina knew though, she knew about ramona's feelings towards him, but there she was, having to listen to mattia talk about where they were going to go for the date and how's he going to dress. "oh shoot, i forgot that kairi wanted to meet up so we can talk about our project, i'll talk to you later, yeah?" a lie that was made up on the spot, but not really. her and kairi did have a project and they were partners, but they didn't need to meet outside of class for it, it was where they work on it in class for about a week.
