Amethyst's POV

The alarm clock's loud beeping made it easy for me to get out of bed. Hinagis ko ito sa bandang gawi ko.

May basag nanamang liligpitin ang mga katulong

"Whatever. They are used to it."

Mayroon ho kayong mahalagang pag-uusapan." Magalang nitong tambad sa akin.

Amethyst, Ameth, Thyst, or any other name is not what I want to be called. I can only be addressed by that name by my parents, my gang, and my close pals. Perhaps there are others calling me from my past as well, a tragic reminisce I'd rather not revisit.

"Okay. Tell them to hold on a moment." Malamig kong tugon sa kanya. I don't want to engage her in conversation. She's only a maid.

Bakit ko pa pagsasayangan ng oras?

I did my everyday routine. I showered and got dressed to look presentable. I'm heading downstairs for breakfast. Ayokong pinaghihintay ang pagkain. The maids bowed as soon as I stepped off. I just grinned. I like this treatment, gusto ko 'yung sinasamba ako. They ought to treat me like their majesty.

I sat down and found Mom and Dad already eating.

"Honey, Thyst... Your Dad has something to say. Please, listen. You have to do this for the sake of our company and even to protect our reputation." Kalmadong ani Mom.

I noticed their serious features and sat up straight. Tingin ko ay napakaimportante rin ng paksang sasabihin nila.

"After all, you are still a skilled fighter in our eyes, even in the view of others, alam naming sanay na sanay ka na sa pakikipagbanat-buto. I will send you to Philippines, in order to protect our business partner's son. I'm not joking, take this seriously, Amethyst. They help us to improve our business credibility and brand image. This is the only way to at least repay the assistance and help they have given us." Seryosong usal ni Dad.

Philippines... I haven't been there for a very long time. It has likely been nine years since I last visited because we returned to Spain afterwards.

I'm half Filipino and half Spanish, and thanks to my grandparents, I also have traces of Korean and Japanese DNA. I also speak more than 500 languages. I went to a reputable university for my high quality education. The majority of the students there are all well-known.

The tuition is too expensive for an average person

I'm still having second thoughts about the favor that Dad is asking for. I'm not sure if I should accept it.

Napalunok ako. "How about my gang? I earn my money in that way. I do not want to leave my gang here alone themselves. I'm sorry, but I won't agree if that's the case."

Importante sa akin ang gang ko, sila na ang naging buhay ko. We hold the highest rank all over the world. Each victory we have brings in roughly a billion of dollars. It's heavenly to be ranked first.

"If your gang can support your mission... And your plans for the Philippines are not completely absurd, you are welcome to bring them along. You're alone and no one will bother you, but if I find out you've gotten into trouble... I'll send you straight to Korea. You don't have any friends there to help you financially, so don't do anything that will enrage me. Entiendes hija?"
Translation: (Understand my daughter?)

When it comes to my gang, Dad is more strict. He was always expecting me to growl alongside them. I have regained his trust and I have no intention of breaking it again.
