Punishment

"What a night" I said to myself while walking to the house.

Now, after those great few hours, I had to pay the consequences.

I saw my house stand in front of me.

Everyone was home.

I saw all the cars there, except the one that was in the shop.

All the lights were on in the house too.

OOHHH boy.

In the next minute, I was right in front of the door. 

I could feel the stress and tension from inside the house.

I put my hand on the door handle and opened it.

All of my brothers were in the living room arguing.

As soon as I walked in they all came running to me and hugging me.

"Oh my gosh, my baby, where were you?" Cooper said.

"We were worried SICK Paisley" Luke said.

"Yeah, I thought someone took my little sister" Asher said.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Dan asked.

"Gosh Paisley, we missed you where the fuck were you?" Nathan said.

This was NOT the reaction I was expecting.

I thought that they would be furious at me.

They kept asking me all these questions.

"CHILL!" I yelled, "IM OKAY DONT WORRY"

"Paisley, where the fuck were you?" Luke said angrily but relieved.

"I was out" I said.

"I'm not playing Paisley, I'm so angry at you right now."

I spoke too soon.

"Something could've happened to you! We were about to call the police! Nathan even went riding everywhere for you but couldn't find you." Luke said.

"You guys obviously didn't look that good because I was at the park down the street." I said.

Luke turned to Nathan.

"I literally looked there! No one was there!" Nathan said.

"Well why didn't you tell us, who were you with?" Luke said.

I didn't say anything.

"Whatever, all that matters is that Paisley is safe." Cooper said.

"Wait," Luke said. "Paisley, whose sweatshirt is that?"

"Um" I said.

SHOOT.

I forgot I had his sweatshirt on.

All my brothers faces turned into concern.

"I know it's not any of your brothers sweatshirt because no one here has that sweatshirt, and trust me, I would know." Luke said.

"Oh" I said.

"Paisley were you at the park with a boy?" Luke asked.

I stayed quiet.

"Paisley, tell us." Dan said.

I still stayed quiet.

"Paisley?" Luke said, I could see the anger rising in him.

I still didn't say anything.

"PAISLEY AWNSER ME RIGHT NOW" Luke practically screamed in my ear making me jump back.

He was really upset.

I haven't seen him like that in a long time.

"Chill Luke, go easy on her." Nathan said, gently pushing him back.

"Don't you tell me what to do." Luke said pushing Nathan.

"Watch out man" Nathan said, pushing him again, but harder.

"Chill guys" Dan said, while him Cooper, and Asher were pushing Nathan away.

"I'm not starting anything you you Nathan" Luke said.

"I'm not starting anything with you either, I'm just saying go easy on her. You're literally screaming in her face. Yeah, okay she snuck out and hung out with a boy but yelling in her face is not gonna help." Nathan said.

"Shut up, you're not the one paying the bills, keeping everything in control, and doing everything else for this household, so don't tell me how to punish someone" Luke said.

Luke was super mad.

"Whatever, I'm going to get a smoke, I can't deal with this" Nathan said, walking upstairs.

We watched Nathan run upstairs.

"Back to what I was saying with Paisley. Oh yeah, you're grounded." Luke said.

"But-"

"That's the end of it Paisley." Luke said, interrupting me.

I knew this was coming.

Whatever.

Knowing me, I always egg on stuff, so I said this:

"Tonight was totally worth it though" I said, walking upstairs.

Oh well.

I could see their faces without even looking at them.

PISSED.

It was true though, tonight totally was worth it, and I totally wanted to meet up again.

I walked upstairs and went to Nathan's room to thank him and to see how he was doing.

When I walked in his room, he was smoking, of course and on his phone.

"Hey" I said.

"Hey" he said.

"Are you okay." I asked.

"Yep" he said.

"Thank you for sticking up for me out there" I said.

"No problem I felt like it was the right thing to do, but I'm still disappointed and mad at you too, so don't think we're buddies." Nathan said.

"I don't get why but okay, you let me cuss but you don't let me go out with a boy ? I don't get that but okay." I said.

"Paisley," Nathan said, "You sound dumb, you didn't just go out with a boy, you snuck out. Do you know how dangerous that is? Anything could've happened to you. Do you think at all? And also, you know that we don't allow you to deal with boys because all they want is one thing, we're just trying to protect you." Nathan said.

"You date girls all the time-and Asher. Girls could only want y'all for one thing too you know?" I said.

"Let's talk about this another time, I don't need to deal with you OR Luke today." Nathan said.

"Whatever, none of you get me" I said, walking out of his room.

I walked into my room and slammed the door.

This is what I have to deal with.

This is what I have to deal with living with 5 brothers.

They never get me or understand me.

Yeah, I know I break the rules, but that's because they're too strict!
