"Keep running, Alina. Keep running. He won't find you here..." I kept reminding myself for motivation. My legs were sore, in the process of numbing. I start to slow down, my legs can't handle my weight. "I guess I'll keep walking around until I find a cave or shelter. Somewhere I can be alone..." I checked my surroundings and kept walking deeper into the forest. After three hours of walking around, fumbling in the dark trying to find shelter, I sat on a rock and checked my scar that was wrapped around my body. "It still stings even though it was from sixteen years ago. I guess poison wounds never heal fully." I quickly got up and started walking deeper, I felt a tug on my sweater and I quickly turned around.

"I told you to leave me alone. It's non-logical to abuse a girl like me because you have issues. This is exactly how mother died and you're just going to do the same to me?"
He quickly pushed me behind a tree and smacked my cheek making it pinkish red.

A boy around 5,7 grabbed my brother and tackled him to the ground. While they were fighting I left and went behind a tall rock and watched. My brother ran back tot he village with a stab wound in his arm. The boy walked over to me.

"Hey, are you okay? You looked like you needed help." He wiped and blood from one of my scars and held out his hand is a friendly gesture.

He took me to his cave to stay the night.

I woke up and stared at the boy that saved me and quickly escaped his grasp.
