Chapter 7: Wooing Lover Boy [Minsung]

Jisung sat in his car, thoughts rushing through his mind. 'Should I do it?' He clutches his hair and groans. 'No... Yes? Maybe..'

Building up confidence, Jisung makes his way into the store. He mutters his order under his breath like a mantra. In his focused state, he hadn't even realized Minho wasn't at the counter. Seungmin, who was at the counter, spotted Jisung, and yelled, "Minho, you're boyfriend is here!"

Minho shuffles out of the back, confusion written on his face. When he realized Jisung was at the counter his cheeks burn red at the implication. Composing himself, he makes his way to Jisung.

"Sorry about Seungmin," Minho grits his teeth, glaring at Seungmin's smug face. "He's just like that."

"I wouldn't mind," Jisung mutters under his breath. Jisung wishes Minho would've heard that, but at the same time he'd rather be shot than Minho hearing his confession. Suddenly, the cup sizes were very interesting.

"You wouldn't mind what?" Minho asks, gaze still on Jisung.

Jisung fumbles over his words before finally mustering up as much courage as he has, which is close to none, to say, "Your boyfriend. I-I mean, I wouldn't mind being your boyfriend?"

Jisung decides to peek at Minho's reaction. Minho's face is furious red, and his jaw is opening and closing like a fish.

"Will you, uh. Will you go out with me? Sometime? Maybe?" Jisung voice gets smaller as he continues.

Minho holds a cup out to him. Which confuses him, until he realizes it's his usual hot chocolate.

"Of course I'll go out with you. Here's my phone number, in case you didn't see it last time. Text me, so we can set up a date."

Jisung takes the cup of hot chocolate with a grin, practically hearing Chan and Changbin's teasing.

"Great. Swell. Jolly good. Just asked out the most gorgeous man alive. Can't wait. Much fun. Very excitement," Jisung begins to robotically walk out.

"Hey, Jisung," Minho stops Jisung just before he leaves.

Jisung turns around, eyes shining, and Minho winks, "I think you're gorgeous too, Squirrel."

Jisung must've had the most flustered look on his face as he left. Grinning like a lovesick fool, Jisung entered Minho's number onto his phone finally feeling welcome to text him.
'He said yes.'

This Minsung story was long overdue. I love Minho and Jisung being confident gays, but becoming extremely shy because of each other.
