The "Best" Friends Musical Stories

New Day

"Wait!" Jimmy yelled as he ran outside bare foot.
"What do you want Jimmy? Leave me alone!" Cried Emilia. They had just had a huge argument and both of them were crying.
"You can't leave yet!" He raced down the street towards her. "I'm sorry..."

Jimmy gasped. Just a bad dream. Phew. He could almost feel the cold from his dream chilling his arms and feet. Flashbacks from the day before flashed through his mind:

"No!" Squealed Emilia, her controller in the air.
"Hah! I am the master! Bow down to me, the Overwatch God!" Jimmy replied jokingly.
They both laughed.
"Oh, it's 10pm, I'd better get going. Sorry, bye!"
Jimmy waved goodbye to her as she left.

He jumped out of bed and strolled into the bright bathroom. Then he brushed his teeth, got washed and then changed into a blue T-shirt and hoodie with grey trousers.
"Hey Jimbro!" Tea Party chirped as she walked past his room. "We're going to Pearl's so... we won't see you much today. Bye!" She waved, followed by TicToc.
"Bye then.." Jimmy mumbled. He walked downstairs to get breakfast. As he sat down, his mum walked in.
"Hey, I made you pancakes!"
"Oh thanks! I think I'm gonna hang out with Emilia today."
"Again?! Are you sure you don't like her?" she joked.
"Mom, really! We're just best friends, that's all!"
"Okay sure. Whatever. You can go if you want. Just be back by midnight."
"Really? I thought earlier than that but okay, thanks! These are really good by the way!" He smiled pointing at his pancakes.
"Thanks! The special ingredient is....... love!"
she whispered. They both giggled then she left.

"I think I like Emilia."
The words replayed in his head from their prom night. H had seemed surprised but it was obvious to him at the same time.
"I think I like..."
No. She doesn't like me back. Just chill.

Knock! Knock!
"Oh hi Jimmy! How are you?" It was Lily, Emilia's mum, who answered the door.
"I'm good! How are you?"
"I'm pretty good too. She's upstairs. She's just coming though."
"Oh okay thanks! I'll wait here."
"And I'll let her know you're here." she smiled.
"Thanks!" Jimmy smiled back.

Emilia walked down the stairs in a dress that she usually only wore for special occasions. It was turquoise and was longer at the back than the front. It had a pink ribbon around the waist and had off-the-shoulder pink sleeves. She also had a pink flower in her hair which was wavy as if it had been in pleats.
"You look really nice!"
"Thanks...so where are we gonna go?"
"I know a good spot!"

They got into his car and listened to Disney songs - because they are great.
"Where are we going?" Emilia kept asking.
"You'll find out!" Jimmy replied.

He led her to a park which was completely empty which,was surprising because it was very pretty.
"Here!"
All Emilia could hear was the sound of rushing water which, became clear why after a few moments. They approached a stream which had a waterfall behind it.
"C'mere!" Jimmy beckoned.
"Okay."
He splashed her with water before jumping onto a rock, then another, and another, until he reached the waterfall. Emilia followed closely behind until she was directly behind him. He held out his hand and she took it.
"Come on.." he said before dragging her through the waterfall. Looking at how soaked each other were, they laughed.
"Wow. We are soaking!" Emilia giggled.
"I know!" Jimmy smiled.
They looked around in the cave. Crystals covered that walls.
"Wow! These are beautiful!" Jimmy squealed which, they both laughed at.

After a while, they ran through the waterfall again and jumped into Jimmy's car.
"Next stop... mystery!" Yelled Jimmy.

He pulled up at a place Emilia remembered from when she was very little. Bright, colourful lights lit up the air and chatter was very dominant.
"The carnival?" Questioned Emilia.
"Well yeah. I thought we could have a good time!" Replied Jimmy as he grabbed Emilia's hand and pulled her inside.

Because the carnival was right next to the beach, the draft carried through.
"So where are we going first?" Jimmy asked.
"Hm, the hall of mirrors?" Emilia suggested.
"Sure!" Jimmy smiled.

After a while they had been on almost all of the rides.
"Wanna get some ice cream?" Asked Emilia.
"Sure!" Jimmy smiled. He got strawberry and Emilia got mint.
"Oh look! The Ferris wheel has no queue! Let's go!" Emo a dragged Jimmy towards it. Even though he was scared of heights, he wanted Emilia to have fun.

As the night fell, the carnival slowly emptied and the two decided to go to the beach.
"Wow, it's empty!" Cried Emilia.
"C'mere!" Jimmy said. Emilia walked over, leaving her shoes on the peer with Jimmy's. He grabbed her hands and started slow-dancing. He stoped suddenly after a few seconds.
"What's wrong?" Emilia asked.
"Look, ever since prom... I've been meaning to tell you something. I..... I like you. But not just as a friend. I like like you! I know you don't feel the same way but..." Emilia cut him off.
"Jimmy. I feel the same... ever since prom as well! It's okay!" She replied in a hushed tone.

Since they had the whole beach to themselves, they enjoyed the night and Jimmy dropped off Emilia before heading home to bed, reflecting on his day.

Wow.

Hi guys! I don't know if you read the description or not but basically this book is gonna be animatics that I can't make yet so I'm putting my ideas into a book. Hope you enjoyed! This story was based on 'New Day' by Take That which was their last song before they split up I'm pretty sure. I'm kind of obsessed with it now because of this story. Stay tuned for more chapters!
