It was a typical sunny afternoon for the Justice Reigns castle in early July. Dream was sitting in his office going over the stack of paperwork that had piled on the desk. He lets out a sigh as he was busily signing and organizing the papers into neat stacks. Why haven't the medical staff converted all of this onto digital files yet? I mean, we do have the technology for it after all, Dream thinks to himself as he continues working. It was slightly before noon and a majority of the organization's employees were on break while others were out on missions or completing other tasks that were so important one had to skip their breaks. Blue was gallivanting through the cafeteria wearing a guard outfit, which he had somehow 'smooth talked' himself into getting. His hair had been recently dyed a split white and black to keep his true identity hidden. He integrates himself at a table with a few guards and workers who had their own special roles in JR, bringing with him a tray of food which he purchased using Ink's money.
A guard that already sat there eating lunch greets Blue like he was an old friend before going back to their conversation to another about the weather. Blue saw this as an opportunity to cause doubts in Dream's judgement. He hums to himself before taking a bite of his food, "You know, the weather would be so much nicer with less pollution," Blue had piped up joining their current topic of discussion.
One gave him a rather questioning glance. "What're you talking about?" they inquire of Blue, exactly what he wants them to do.
"Well," he starts, "this organization does use a lot of natural resource such as fossil fuels. One would think that Lord Dream would be more considerate of the environment, but no. All he seems to care about is serving justice to criminals." Blue had replied with.
The guard frowns at that as they give what Blue had said a bit of thought. "Yeah, that's kinda true," they say, taking another bite of their food.
Another guard casts Blue a slight glare. "Lord Dream does care for the environment, a good portion of JR's profits go to tree replanting for goodness sake," he abruptly adds to Blue's little remark.
Blue withholds a faint smile as he thinks out another way to stir up a ruckus amongst the guards. "Oh! The other day I was taking a stroll past the hospital wing when I overheard the doctors complaining about how us guards were being a nuisance by making their job harder. It's our job to go out and gather criminals, you cannot just expect us to come back unscathed, it's not like we're perfect!" he complains, faking an expression of exasperation.
Several guards at the table hear him, shooting sneers in agreement, "What do we look like, robots?" one of them says.
"Excuse me, I don't know where you heard that but it's nonsense, we understand the risks you guys take," snaps another employee, a nurse that no one had noticed sitting with them until now.
"Bullshit, I bet you're just saying that to defend your co-workers."
"For God's sake! We are all co-workers."
A therapist, who was sitting next to them, taps him on the shoulder. "We're not supposed to use problematic language out in the open, remember?" they remind him.
"So? Ink swears all the time and he gets away with it," another guard pipes up.
Blue sees this as an opportunity to reduce Dream's reputation, and so he jumps into the conversation. "Oh, I'm sure Dream's just being biased. That assistant of his does happen to also be his friend," he says.
Someone at the table nods, "That does seem biased that he'll just let Ink slide through with swearing but not us." At this, one of the more reasonable guards had spoken up.
