As I approach the dance floor with Alice I begin to panic. This is the moment of truth... We start to dance as I compliment her outfit and her hair. I look around. Only three couples including us: Lyra and Ricky and Te-ojhia and Bruce. The rest are loners sitting around having drinks of lord knows what. I give her a twirl and she smiles. One of smiles where it makes u want to smile. I do.
I stare into her eyes and imagine us in the future. I love imaging that stuff. It makes me all giddy and bubbly and happy. She's perfect for me. We are going to have the happiest life together. Having a house in Montana with a dog and two or three kids. I'll be happier than a clam as my grandmother says. I give her another twirl and the-BABAMMMMM!!!
