Chapter 2: The Surprise
2012 - Year 12, Thursday
Physics was such a drag; I mean no one really listens anyway. They just study the week of the exam and then forget it afterwards. My teacher Mrs Tone always got mad at me for wasting my time on my laptop but I constantly loved to chat on LittleMonsters.com because the people I had met on there were much nicer than the people I was around at present, apart from my three best friends, but none of them were stupid enough like me to actually do Physics in grade 12. Life was boring, I had no real purpose, nothing to look forward to, apart from graduating, but the next day at school Jodi and Jessica came to me with the most exciting news that any Little Monster could ever dream of.
The next day was Friday and I was so happy because it meant that I could chill on the weekend and just hang with my friends and be normal. Jessica was acting really strange in Geography so I decided to confront her straight up (we aren't the kind of friends who constantly beat around in the bush):
"Jess what's wrong with you today you're really quiet." I asked
Jess looked at me with a crinkled face; she looked like she was in pain or just being weird.
"Shhhhh." she said
"Jess come on, you know you can tell me..."
"I...I...I...CAN'T TELL YOU!" she yelled across the room for everyone to hear even Ms Cull was stunned by the volume.
"Just tell me, I can keep a secret." I hushed
"Look I really wasn't meant to ruin the surprise but...next week is your birthday and Lady Gaga is going to be in New York..."
"WE'RE GOING TO SEE LADY GAGA?!?!" I interrupted
"Not only are we going to see her BUT...we are in the Monster Pit!"
As these words left her mouth it took me at least 5 minutes to process each word...monster...pit. It seemed unreal this had been my dream forever I loved her songs and her style she was everything I had ever wanted to be! Lady Gaga was not just my idol but my role model even a second mother. Being in the Monster Pit meant everything to me and the chance to get close to her was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Once last period had ended I dragged Jessica, Jodi and Troy to the mall because we had some serious shopping to do for this concert/ball. If we were going to be noticed by Gaga we had to be bold but I had one issue...I had never gone out in public with so many people with my fake leg on...
