Hi guys,
Hope you enjoy!:)By the way, Jasper, Izzy and Chilli are dogs.
Miserable. That is how Jasper felt, cold, wet and miserable. Icey raindrops rolled off his matted fur, obscuring his vision. He fell to the floor exhausted, his fur like a lead weight dragging him down. A week ago Jasper was care-free and as happy as could be, not a speck of dirt donned his glossy brown fur, that was until SHE came along.
------------------
Sunlight spilt into the Junis house, warmth slowly spreading through the labrador's body. Jasper slowly stood up and stretched, another normal morning. He slowly plodded over to his food bowl, hmph empty again! His bowl was always empty in the morning, but it doesn't hurt to hope. He made his way over to the front door and waited. Five minutes passed then ten, nothing exciting. Jasper went into his owner's bedroom, Jace and Anne lay fast asleep, but not for long. Woof! "Jasper, can't a woman get her beauty sleep." Anne groaned.
Nope! If there was one thing Jasper loved more than food it was attention. He ran towards the nearest cupboard and pawed at the wooden door until Jace opened it. In it contained all of his things, leads, treats and toys. "Wanna go for a walk, Jasper?"
Duh! Of course! He thought they should know the daily routine by now, wake up, walk, sleep, attention, sleep, walk, food!
The park was only a short distance away so it was only a five-minute walk. Jasper was a routine dog, so he knew the way to the park and led the way. At the park, he sat down and waited patiently for Jace to drop the lead. Finally, he did, Jasper sprinted across the grass to the nearest dog.
"Hello Henry, still on a lead I see?"
"Sadly, for some reason, she thinks I would run off at first chance! Humans I tell ya!"
"Yeah, mine can't even remember the daily routine!!"
"Oof, that's gotta hurt."
"Yeah, Henry I know. Look there's Scout!"
A small brown dog slowly walked towards them. "Hey Jasper, Hey Henry. How's it goin'? " She asked.
"Just fine." They replied.
For the next half-hour, the three dogs ran around the football oval, having a great time. Afterwards, Jace took Jasper for another lap around the oval and then walked home. Just like everything else in his life the journey home was quiet, carefree and relaxed. When they got home he headed straight for his bed, where he lay down and started to drift off.
---------------
Just three feet away stood a hamburger, juicy and delicious. It made Jasper's mouth water "mmm." He started to run towards it but it just kept moving away. Finally, the hamburger stopped moving, he lept towards it and... there was a sudden change of scene, Jasper was in a dark cave, the only source of light was a small figure in front of him. A deep voice echoed through the room, sending shivers down his spine. "Fire is fought by ice, evil by good and cruelty by kindness. Remember this as it might save your life."
"What!" Jasper exclaimed, "What does this mean?"
But he was already starting to wake up.
Throughout the remainder of the hour, Jasper continued to think about the warning. What could it mean? They must have the wrong person. It couldn't be for him, could it? In the end, he decided it was just a dream and he shouldn't worry.
Finally, dinnertime. Jasper went under the table and waited for Anne and Jace to sit down. Then he lay down and waited for someone to drop some food, eventually getting bored so he stood up and lay his head on Anne's lap and waited some more. My time has come!! Anne finally dropped some food, a piece of broccoli. It wasn't Jasper's favourite but it was still food. All that was left to do was wait until it was his turn to eat. When it finally did, Jasper wolfed his dinner down and then lay down on his bed.

Jasper awoke the next day to silence. He wandered over to the front door and waited. After a while, he left, feeling quite happy with himself. He had successfully saved Anne and Jace from an attack from five birds, a squirrel and the postman. Time to wake the humans up! He ran into their bedroom to get them out of bed but there was no need, they were already up and talking in hushed voices, Anne and Jace were deep in conversation so they didn't notice him. He didn't think about it because they are usually talking, but he did wonder why they were whispering. These conversations kept happening all day, still not too bothered. Then Anne suddenly burst into tears, now Jasper was worried. He ran up to her to comfort her, she smiled a sad smile and kept repeatedly saying sorry. This confused him, she had done nothing wrong and he wanted to tell her, but he couldn't.--------------------------
Jasper lay in bed, seeing Anne like this made him sad, especially since he couldn't cheer her up. He didn't even want to go on his morning walk! What made matters worse was that Anne kept sobbing every time she saw him. Now Jasper was even more distraught than before, not even leaving his bed. He kept making Anne sad and he didn't know why. Anne and Jace were talking in the other room, Jasper wasn't paying any attention to the conversation but then they said his name. His ears pricked up and he got out of bed to move closer to them.
"Are you sure?" came Jace's voice.
"Yes, I am positive!" replied Anne.
Jasper moved closer.
"Well this is great isn't it?" Jace remarked
"Yes, but you know what this means?" Anne whispered.
"Do we have to?"
"Think of how expensive it will be to care for both of them! We are already in debt."
CRASH!! Oops! Jasper had just knocked over a vase while moving forward. Anne and Jace stopped talking and looked over at him. "We should think more about it before we do anything," Jace whispered. Jasper had heard enough so he ran as fast as he could. He couldn't believe it, Anne was pregnant and they had to give him away!
