The dark room was lit by a small candlelight which barely revealed two shadows. One of the persons was holding an old piece of parchment. ''Finally, it's been completed!'' The voice of the person revealed it to be a man. ''The prophecy has finally been translated''. He turned towards the other person in the room. ''Partly thanks to you, of course''. The other person said nothing, resulting in a short moment of silence between the two until the man started talking again. ''I'll go get him. In the meantime: don't you dare go anywhere. Well...'' A grin started forming on his face. ''Not that you could go anywhere if you wanted to, being tied up like that''. The man walked out of the room after saying that, leaving the other person alone in the room.
Not much later the man returned, along with another person. The man was dressed in a long robe. He had wild red hair and a goatee. He was well-known to everyone in this place. People referred to him as 'The Wolf'. ''And? What does the prophecy say?'' The Wolf asked impatiently. The other man grabbed hold of the parchment. ''We've carefully translated everything, sir. However, I'm not sure if you'll like what's been written...'' ''Silence! Just read it out loud!'' The Wolf answered calmly, yet with a cold tone of voice. ''Very well then, sir''. The man swallowed. ''The prophecy is talking about the future heir of the elves. Like we already thought, the heir is the one we had in mind. Soon you are able to start his training''. The Wolf nodded. ''Go on''. ''The prophecy also warns for great danger to the elves. A huge fight will break out, led by someone from the same bloodline as the heir''. The man took a short pause to catch his breath, looked at The Wolf, and continued. ''There might be a chance that the dominion of the elves will come to and end''. ''That won't happen'' The Wolf answered. He appeared calm, but judging by his tone of voice you could tell he was nervous. Even he wasn't sure about it, but why would they be scared of a prophecy? The elves have always been powerful and strong after all.
Yet for some reason he was in doubt. After leaving, he made his way to another room and threw open the two doors holding the room shut. ''Master, There's news about the prophecy''. The Wolf entered the room, walking up to an enormous bed placed in the middle of the room. Coughing noises could be heard coming out of the bed. With much effort, The Wolf helped the person in the bed to sit up straight. It was an old elf. ''Tell me'' he said. The Wolf repeated the whole story of the prophecy to the elf. ''...But we are strong. Maybe the prophecy is false'' was what The Wolf ended with, but the elf shook his head. ''A prophecy always comes true''. The Wolf sighed deeply. ''But...'' The elf continued. ''That doesn't mean we can't try to do everything we can to stop it, and turn it into our favor''. ''But what can we do then?'' The Wolf sounded desperate. ''All we can do is train our future heir well enough so he will be ready for the fight, and also, make sure that the other person mentioned in the prophecy can't do us any harm by eliminating them early on''. ''How do we discover who that is?'' ''It's simple. Eliminate all possible options''. ''But...'' The Wolf stammered, but the old elf started coughing again. ''My time's almost up. I have to rest now, but don't worry, they will probably come to us instead''. The man laid back down in his bed, which resulted in The Wolf slowly stumbling his way back to the doorway. With a loud noise the doors closed behind him. His master had been right, something must be done. He turned to face one of the guards next to the door. ''Send Mabel and Sean to the throne room, I have a job for them to do...''
