Chapter 7: In Danger

        As we went home I tried to give the gift to Lance but it just doesn't feel right.I kept the gift and find a way to give it to him.

      Lance Point Of View

      I looked at Odette at the mirror she seems confused,is something wrong?I wonder what its is.A few moments later we got out of the car I helped her out with her things a bag just dropped and I was about to pick it but.."uh..I got it" she seemed really odd ever since we left the mall.She went inside the house,she went straight to her room bringing all her stuff."hey man why are you two so late we were so worried about you" I looked at him "we just got caught up at the traffic that's all" Alex looked at me frustratingly "hey is something fine?" I replied" it's just..Odette seems...a bit odd ever since we left the mall" Alex replied "you said you were caught up at the.." I didn't let him finish "look here's what happened we left you guys we went to the Boulivard then we went to the mall to buy her food while I was waiting for her I saw my sister then we talked then when we got in the car she was so silent" Alex thought about for it for a second "Did you introduce her to your sister?" I shook my head "no" He figured something out

   "SHE'S JEALOUS"

   "WHA..WHAT?!"

     "look here's the thing did she saw you with your sister?" I nodded "She might have thought that your sister is your girlfriend" Could it be the reason,but if it's the reason how can I make it up to her "Hey do you know how can I make it up to her?" Alex replied "That I don't know but maybe I can talk to Julee so I know how you can make it up to her" I nodded "Thanks Bro" He smiled.I was going to my room when I passed her room,I peek to what she's doing "uh what are you doing?" I looked to my back then I saw Odette "oh uh..yeah I was just checking up on you hehe well I'm going to my room now hehe bye!"I ran To my room slamming the door behind me then jumping at my bed.Ughhhh what's wrong with me?! Why do I even care about her,is she really jealous because of me? Wait if she is jealous of me then it means....

     ODETTE LIKES ME!

     Nahh don't think too much Lance it's been a tough day and I must be stressed that's why I'm thinking about this nonsense let's just sleep Lance.

          THE NEXT MORNING~

I woke up at this fine Tuesday morning.I walked to the kitchen as I see Alex,Julee,Lyle and Odette eating and laughing "Hey Lance!"Lyle shouted,I smiled as everybody looked at me but when Odette saw me her smile faded reminding me of what happened yesterday.I go to Alex and tell him something...

 ODETTE POINT OF VIEW

         I saw Lance going down the stairs as I see him look at me I looked away and my smile faded because of what happened yesterday,I stood up and got into my room,as I closed the door someone knocked and I opened the door and it was Lance.I looked at him and he put his hands behind his neck looking and feeling shy "uhhh.." he said not sure of what he was going to tell me "what is it lance" he looked at me and "uh nothing uhh aren't you going to give Alex the present cause i think you forgot about his birthday" he said smiling shyly."oh damn haha i forgot about it dont worry I'll give it to him maybe tonight or today thanks for reminding me by the way!" then he left. Damn it i forgot about Alex's birthday guess I'm too straightforward at thee girl yesterday who might she be dang what's wrong with you Odette ughhh "THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!" i heard the door opened and i didn't care "What's driving you crazy?" I took the pillow out of my face hoping it wasn't lance "oh hehe hi ...Julee uh wha-what?" she smiled at me "I asked if what was DRIVING YOU CRAZY" I looked at her  "uh hehe about that uhh..pls keep quiet about this uhh-" I was interrupted by Lyle "Hey Odette lets buy groceries" I looked at him "why me?" he smiled "well the meat you brought the last day was delicious and i have not have much experience in groceries so I was wondering if you could..hehe" I had no choice then I came with him at the groceries.

      We finished buying everything but I noticed that we forgot the meat "Dang it I'm gonna go back for the meat we forgot it go ahead meet me at the house ok" then he winked at me then he got into his car then left "As I was waiting for a taxi a white van stopped in front of a teenager,when the man got out the van he was masked with black hat and black sunglasses  the man saw me looking at him the he came forward to me and I dropped the grocery bag then I was about to run but another man blocked me and covered my mouth and nose with a handkerchief "Hel...p..!"

     LANCE POINT OF VIEW

    I waited for Lyle and Odette to come back but only Lyle came back "Hey Lyle where's Odette?" he looked at me "Oh we forgot the meat so she got meat and told me to go ahead I think she'll be back" I nodded.Time passed and it is 4 in the afternoon and Odette still didn't came back "I tried to call her but she wouldn't answer.I opened her phones location and I drove to it. As i reach the destination..the place is so..dark and weird "Something's not right" Still I followed her GPS and I heard men and I saw Odette and a young teenager girl tied up and mindless of what was happening. I saw a rusted metal stick at the ground and I picked it up then I called the police. After 5 minutes the police came and caught the suspects the young girl was set free while I got Odette "Odette are you fine?" she burst out in tears "Omg Lance thank goodness your here I-" I wiped her tears "hey hey what matters is your fine lets go home?" she nodded. As we got in the car Odette asked me something "hey Lance.." I replied "Are you going to ask if I have a girl friend well I dont it was my sister yesterday" I looked at her and she was shocked "hehe lol i think i over think yesterday sorry" I smiled at her "By the way have you given the gift to Alex ?" she shook her head.

  As we got in the house everyone wasn't there they left a message "Were treating alex out byeee" I looked at Odette and she has a wound on her knee "why didn't you told me about your wound how..did this happened?" she looked at me "Oh hehe I slipped and i hit my knee at the rusted metal so no big deal"I looked at me "no big deal dude its rusted you can get ill" she smiled "hehe sorry" I stood up and get the first aid kit "whoa whoa dude are you going to apply that to my knee?" I looked at me confused "uhh yeah?" she was shocked "hehe uh no its gonna hurt so bye im gonna WHOA!" I put me back at the couch and leaned closer to her "your not getting away with this Odette" she sighed as I put some medicine on her knee she fell asleep.

    I finished wrapping her knee while she was asleep I cleaned up the place then I carried her then put her on her bed. I looked at her peacefully "She's much less troublesome when she's asleep" She moved and hugged her pillow,I dont know what's with me but I smiled 

   "I THINK I LIKE YOU ODETTE~"
