*Writer's Note*

I wasn't going to make an epilogue, but thanks to RoboWoof, I am! Sorry for taking so long to write this, I hope you guys and gals enjoy!

Epilogue:

*About 2 weeks since you came back*

The early sun's rays shone against the tall-makeshift home. The cobwebs were gone, and the planks nailed against the window were removed and tossed away in a previous campfire.

The house was cleaner and cozier, truffula saplings were surrounding the home, and a sweet smell filling the air with them. A small nest of Swamy-Swans rested on top of the home, and the pleasant smell of pancakes filled the air.

*Your POV*

"Hey sleepyhead, hey.." you felt someone nudge you, and the familiar voice brought a smile to you as you stretched.

"Good Morning" The Onceler was sitting next to you on the bed. Still in his pajama's, he had flour on his cheeks. You sat up and slowly opened your eyes,

"mhm, morning" You scratched your back, smile fading. He laughed, "Not a morning person huh?"

You looked at him and squinted, slowly nodding your head. You leaned over and wrapped your arms around his waist, "stay."

Your hair was a messy h/c mess, as the Onceler brushed it, he said, "I would love to Y/N, but my pancakes are gonna burn?"

" We can't have that" You quickly yelled, jumping out of bed, fully awake at the mention of food. The Onceler scoffed, "Oh now you wake up?"

"Of course, it's your food dummy" You jumped into the bathroom to get ready.

After heading downstairs, you saw the Onceler whistling to himself, now dressed and flipping those amazing pancakes you would die for.

"So, we're finally gonna go see this Ted you can't stop talking to me about?" You added, going to the fridge to set the table and get the drinks.

"Oh! Hello there" you smiled. There, squeezed in the fridge was the big, Barba-loot and his group, stuffing butter into his face. Pipsqueak waved a little to you, though this time, you noted, he was quite taller now.

"What's wrong, are we out of-Hey!" The Onceler turned around and noticed your surprised expression at the fridge and saw the brown fur. Instead of getting angry, he quickly dropped the pancake onto the plate and walked briskly to the fridge.

"You guys are back!" A large smile formed his lips and when he caught sight of pipsqueak, he gasped, "Pipsqueak?" Pipsqueak squeaked at him, though it was a lot lower, and he motioned to a female barbaloot and their small cub.

His eyes widened, "may I?" Pipsqueak nodded. The Onceler gently picked up Pipsqueak Jr, he grabbed the Onceler's fingers and nibbled on them.

"Hi there" You and the Onceler said in Unison. Your awes were interrupted by a  stomach growl.

"Hungry?" He asked the small bar-ba-loot. He nodded,

"Pancakes anyone?" The Onceler motioned to the animals. They all nodded their heads and quickly jumped out of the fridge, almost knocking you two over in the process.

After eating as many pancakes as any human or bear could possible eat, you and the Onceler decided to finally head to town.

Melvin had long since died, the Onceler had told you and showed you his grave. You were sad, but knew it happened to all creatures. Melvin was special, loyal and feisty.

So you two decided to walk down the path to town. "That big city over there? Where did that even come from?" Your eyebrow raised.

"About 20 or so years ago, it's fairly new, and get this: it's entirely made of plastic." The Onceler motioned to a big city sign as he spoke.
