Rick felt happier since Dr. Fox and the others arrived, well, everyone except frown. He wanted to throw him out, but Puppycorn seemed so close to him, he couldn't see him hurt again. No, he needs to be happy... He thought with a smile on his face, he looked at Puppycorn, he was resting on the couch beside Frown, he couldn't help but feel angry at Frown. But he kept smiling.

A few moments later, Hawkodile and Dr. Fox came out of the room.
I wonder what they were up to... Rick thought to himself again, he noticed something a bit off about Hawkodile. He kept on looking at him, but why? Oh well, that didn't matter anyways! There was probably just something on his face.
Unless he knows what your thinking... A weird voice said from the back of his head. "What?" He asked out loud.
Dr. Fox looked at him with a confused look. "Uh... Is something up Rick?" She asked him. "Oh, nothing! I thought someone said something,bThat's all!"
Someone did say something idiot. The voice replied. It's me, the voice in your head. Also known as your company you've had while you were alone this whole time. It seems you've been ignoring me though. It told him.
"Uh..." Rick repeated. The others looked at him, clearly confused. "I-I'll be right back!" He said, floating away for a moment. He went into the room Dr. Fox and Hawk were in, and he shut the door.

What? You scared they're gonna think you lost it? The voice taunted, Rick wanted it to stop. "Please, not now..." He silently said. You know, we actually haven't spoken in awhile! Could it be Frown that bought me back? Are you worried he was a better father figure to Puppycorn? The voice said, growing louder with each word. "N-no... stop..." Rick raised his voice, trying to be louder than whoever was speaking to him.

C'mon, you know what you have to do, Rick... The voice laughed. Dispose of Frown, hand him in.

"Hand him in...? To who?"

The Princess.

Rick froze once he heard that. "T-the Princess...?"

Yes. Frown started all of this, and you can finish this. Hand him in, and let the Princess get her revenge... The voiced boomed. Rick actually liked the sound of that... but he knew, he had to be the better person. "No... I'm afraid I can't do that..."

Oh, but you had no problem getting rid of those other people? Remember the pretty lady from the bakery, she offered you a place to stay. But you! You were so frightened, so paranoid! You got rid of her, as if it were nothing.
Rick tried blocking out the voice, but he knew, it was too late...
And let's not forget about the day you left Puppycorn!
"I didn't leave him."
Oh, but you did! You know deep down, you are as much to blame for this as Frown is.
"I... I..."

So, just do it.

Rick felt powerless up to this point, he knew the voice was too strong, he knew that deep down, he actually wanted to do this. "I... I'll do it."

Good, and do it at midnight, tonight. The voice ordered. I'm in charge now, and you do as I say.
"Y-yes..."
Now get back out there.

Rick obeyed, and went floating back out. "Hey, Rick!" Dr. Fox greeted. "What took you do long?" "Oh- it's nothing. I was looking for something, but I can't seem to find it." He lied, he put the smile back on his face. "Anyways, you guys must be tired! And it's getting pretty late..."

"Oh, yeah... we are pretty tired I suppose." Dr. Fox said. "No worries! You all can sleep here tonight, you and Puppycorn can sleep in my room, Hawk can get the extra room, and I'll sleep here with Frown, that is if you don't mind..." I say, slowly looking at Frown. "Oh, not at all!" "Good, you guys go get some rest. I'll go get a few blankets and such." I say, floating yo the storage/guest room. As I'm getting the blankets, I know just what to grab.

I grab some Valerian I've been saving for some time now. So Frown can sleep faster.

I float out of the room, and I hand Hawkodile the blankets, I float back to the living area, to see Frown just sitting there with a worried expression.

"Is something wrong?" I ask him, he flinches. "Oh- no! I'm just deep in thought, that's all..." He says sadly. "Oh, I see..." I say. "... Why don't I make us some drinks?" I ask him, floating to the stove and getting water from one of the many canisters. I put it into a pot. "Thanks, Rick..." He says, quietly. "You know, you could always talk to me about anything. It's not like you're going somewhere any time soon."

"Yeah, I suppose you're right..." He sighs. "It's just that... I really miss Brock." He begins, as I tend to the drinks. I sneak the Valerian into his tea. "I haven't seen him since the whole thing, and I'm worried that I'll never see him again..."

Rick stopped for a moment. He knew that feeling. The feeling of longing, the feeling of worry.

Don't forget. You have a job to do.

"I understand..." Rick said, half to himself, and half to Frown. He went up to Frown, and handed him the tea. "Huh, what's this?" Frown asked, looking at the drink. "It's just some tea."

He took a drink of his tea, and Rick watched. He felt a bit bad, but this was for the greater good.

Once frown finished, he yawned. "Huh, now I'm kinda sleepy..." He said, his tone low. "Get some rest. You're gonna need it..."

He watched as Frown closed his eyes, and soon, he was snoring.

Time to put this plan into action.

Okay, first of all, I'm not dead. Secondly, this had been sitting in my drafts for OVER a whole year. And last but not least, I felt bad for promising so many things and not keeping those promises. So I promise to finish this book.

Hopefully.
