Chapter 8 - God of Death

Eddy almost fell backward when Celeste forcefully pulled her dagger from his chest. Luckily, Jonathan moved in time to support him while red armored Nate charged forward to attack the other Nate in wedding suit. That other Nate could dodge from the Fire God's red sword easily so Real Nate deadly attack only ripped Fake Nate's wedding suit. The Fake Nate wore exactly the same red armor beneath his luxurious wedding suit and he also summoned the exact same red sword to counter Real Nate's move. Jonathan rolled his eyes helplessly since now he could no longer differentiate which one was the real Nate so he just pulled Eddy to retreat from their fierce battle using the exact same offenses and defenses. Instead of watching two Nate who were fighting, Eddy's eyes never left Celeste's cold expression until Dorian suddenly leap from the side and attacked Jonathan.

"I had never taught her that movement... And she supposed to stab and pull in one continues move..." Eddy randomly thought to himself.

The old Death God let go of his son to meet Dorian's surprise attack. "You stole my love and made me raise your son. Now your son also stole my daughter-in-law. Doesn't fruit fall not far from its tree?" the Sun God sneered while attacking his older brother who could only twitch his mouth. King Jonathan led Dorian farther from both Nate and Eddy so their clashing power would not accidentally hurt the younger gods. Eddy kept his thought to himself then raised his hand, ordering his men to attack, "Fight with all you got and kill all rebels!!!" in spite of his wound, Eddy's authoritative voice did not have slightest wavering. All of his troops in gold and silver armor, including King Jonathan's personal guards in black uniform immediately charged forward against the enemies in red armors as well as the other demons and gods who had joined the rebels.

Eddy ran toward the dais where Gemini glared at him with a weird expression plastered on her beautiful face. He brandished his silver long sword, ready to attack her when he saw Martha was eyeing Gemini with pure hatred and dark satisfaction from his periphery. It happened only in a split second, it made Eddy contemplating whether he just seeing things. Why would his Mom feel satisfied if he killed Gemini? But, it was enough to make him stopped right when the tip of his sword had pierced Gemini's energy field as well as her bronze armor.

Gemini stared at Eddy with big rounded eyes and... and... there were tears dripping from the corner of her gentle bronze eyes. No enemy would face her oncoming death with such tender looks. Eddy used his sword to break the protective spell around Gemini's seat and forcefully grabbed her waist, pulling her to him. No one would arrange a protection spell that could only be opened from outside but Eddy was still gambling, if she was the real Gemini he would certainly loose his life. But, this Gemini did not charge at him and just clang helplessly to his neck.

"Celeste?" Eddy confirmed.

"How did you know?" She whispered back, in Gemini's voice of course.

Before Eddy could form a word of reply, Gemini's bronze eyes widened and she suddenly turned their position around. Nate's red sword penetrated through her back to her chest and almost pierced Eddy's silver armor as well. Eddy could only gape when Nate jerked Gemini's shoulder and pulled her away from him. The Third Prince did not even know whether he was the Real Nate or the fake one since now both of them were wearing the same red armor and were holding exactly the same red long sword. Gemini spat blood to Eddy's face and smiled sweetly before slowly closed her eyes in peace.

Eddy summoned his black fire to kill the Nate who had killed Gemini but he saw another Nate smiled wickedly behind the Nate who just stabbed Gemini. When he almost kill his lover's murderer, The Third Prince decided to throw his sword to the other Nate. Eddy did it with such immense strength that made the the Moon God's sword pierced through Nate's shoulder to his back and pinned him to the floor.Alvin returned to his real appearance when Eddy's black fire enveloped his body. His screaming pierced among noisy battle sounds everywhere when his fake face break and the powerful spell backlash, almost consuming him. Alvin had to use all of his power to destroy Eddy's silver sword and break the spell which had strengthened his fire array before it burned him alive. Both Alvin and Eddy knew instantly that Michael's heart had stopped beating, that was why his Ten Thousand Faces Spell suddenly shattered. Nate looked back in time to see what happened to Alvin behind him so he did not realize when Eddy pulled Gemini's back to his embrace.
