The Lost Mate

Prologue

"At times we don't understand the importance of things till we have lost them. "
He remembered how his father always told him not to hurt people and understand their importance before you actually lose them. But alpha king Harper never understood this and alas! he hurt the one he should have cherished the most.
Harper was never told by his parents that they were werewolves else Harper's life would have been in danger(reasons to be specified in the book), he lived a life of a normal teenage boy. But he loved a girl very dearly or so he said but she did love him so much that it hurted. But the day he found out that he was werewolf and had a mate to cherish. He left her.

"I don't love you Maria. " he said
"Stop joking Harper. I am serious. " she said
"I am not joking. " he replied seriously.
"You don't mean that. You love me. You told me. " cried Maria.
"It was just for fun. Goodbye. " He replied.
"Baby don't please don't. " she cried.
"Just go away. " he roared and then walked away from her. Leaving her shattered and broken. Only to find, 5 years later, when he turned 18 that infact she was his mate who he had left behind to die.
