Reminiscence

The attractive boy turns on his flashlight from his phone, so I decided to do the same.
"Since we're probably going to be stuck here for a while, why don't we talk?" he said.
"Okay, well what's your name?" I said.
"Josue, what's yours?" he asked. "Haley, it's nice to meet you!" I replied with a smile.
"So what room are you staying in?" he asked. I felt kinda weird telling a complete stranger what room I was staying in, but at least I know his name is Josue..
"82B, what about you?"
"Right across the hall from you, 84B."
I have no clue why but my heart started pounding very quickly when he said he was right across.
"Where are you visiting from?" I asked.
"California, how about you?"
"Arizona, what part of Calif-"
The elevator lights came back on, we both turned off our flashlights. The elevator make a huge noise and bounced back up, the doors opened. We stepped out of the elevator and started walking down the hall. We finally found our rooms, I put down my luggage and pulled the key out of my pocket and unlocked my door.
"Do you need help with your bags?" Josue asked.
"No, I'm good."
"Are you sure?"
I kinda wanted to talk with Josue and get to know him better so I decided to take a chance and see what would happen.
"Actually, yea, my bags are kind of heavy, I could use some help."
A smile took over his face and he immediately grabbed my bags and headed into my room.
"Hey Haley, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, go ahead."
"Do you have a uh.. boyfriend back at home?"
I could feel the nervousness in the tone of his voice.
"I don't, why?" I responded with a smile on my face.
"No it's nothing, I just.. think you're really pretty, I don't want to come off as weird or anything haha.."
"No it's totally cool haha."

We sat down on the small couch the hotel had to offer, we talked for hours and hours. I felt like I was reminiscing past times, even though this was happening right now before my eyes.
"I think you're a really down to earth person, Haley." Josue said starting to put his hand on my thigh.
"I think you're really sweet too."

We got closer and closer to the point where our lips were finally touching. I couldn't even believe this was actually happening, I literally just met him like an hour ago. We both heard a knock on the door and stopped kissing, who could it be, I just moved here..
