Feeling hopeless... or full of hope?

Xuli's POV

I crept out of my hiding spot behind my desk. it's a miracle he didn't see me. He must have already thought I was caught, since he threw a net at me. I somehow dodged it.

But my friends weren't so lucky...

I felt myself crying. Glitch had Kyan, Lars, Foz, and Ubercorn, and I hadn't been able to stop him. I had failed.

While I cried, I remembered something that happened when I escaped. My hand had glowed purple for one brief second, and the net, which was about to hit me, seemed to curve a slight bit, giving me time to get out of the way.

What was that all about?

Foz would know, if he was here. He's so smart. I don't think I've ever told him that before.

Kyan would make a joke about it. 

Lars would help me cope. 

Ubercorn would say it was a miracle.

How I missed them...

Wait. Hang on. Foz! Even with him not being here, he's helping me! His books! He had books of all kinds in his room. Maybe there was something on that purple glow.

I had to hope. I had to pray I was right.
