You allowed the kiss to deepen, his hand sliding to your shoulder, your hands going to his waist and neck, when there was a knock in the door. The two of you sprang apart as though struck by lightning, if someone saw you together like that, you'd be thrown out for sure!
"I should go." You say quietly, stepping away from him and toward the door, "Just a minute!" He calls to the person outside as he reaches for you, his hand catching your wrist, "What about dinner tonight? Seven o'clock? Text me your addresses an I'll pick you up." He whispers.
"Okay." You reply before he gives you a quick kiss on the lips, he lets go of your wrist and walks you to the door, opening it for you like the gentleman he is, "Thank you for your time Miss Y/N, I hope to see you Monday." He says, not quite making eye contact to the man standing in the doorway.
"Yes sir." You smile, trying to act as calmly as possible. The man in the doorway, you recognise him as Professor Cartwright, the other English Lit lecturer, scrunches his nose at the sight of you two, and sniffs the air, "What have you been doing with that girl, Hiddleston?" He demands half mockingly, this guy was known for his weird sense of humour, "It smells like sex in there."
"I think that's just you Trent." Tom replies matter-of-factly. The professor enters the room uninvited and scowling. Tom, still standing in the doorway gives you a wink before shutting the door in front of him.
You grin, not only did he ask you out, but he sassed the most infamous professor in front of your very eyes. You couldn't wait to see him at seven.
