Chapter 17

When a sperm meets an egg they form a child.

When an unwanted sperm meets an unwanted egg they still form a child.

There is no win to this situation because in 9 months I will have to push a little monster out of my place and into the world.

"Ms. Hallway you have a visitor." The nurse said popping her gum.

" You can send them in."

Andy and Florida popped in. Florida was holding a gift basket and Andy nothing. Andy lingered at the sink and Florida sat in the chair next to me.

"Hey, I heard about the baby." She said before laughing.

" What's so funny?" I asked

" Well the babys father is too shy to speak to the mother. I mean like wear a condom." She laughed again and Andy turned bright red.

" Oh. Um Florida Andy's not the father."

" Oh I know. He told me everything."

I shot him a death glare. I mean who else could he have told?

" Florida don't tell anyone else."

" I promise." She said before giving me a hug. " I have to leave. I hope you get better soon cause camps starting back up in a week. " She hugged me again and left.

Andy sat down in Florida's seat.

"Hey" I said. Trying to hold his hand but he jerked it away. I saw tears roll from his eyes. This is the first time I've seen him cry.

" Y-you can't keep the baby." He started. Looking me dead in the eye. If looks could kill this would be deadly.

" I can. Andy your not the father or mother can't tell me what to do." For some wierd reason tears were falling off my eyes too.

" Exactly. You think the father would want to keep it? That son of a bitch wouldn't do anything to save his ass."

" Why do you care? It's not your child."

" I KNOW THAT. HOW DO YOU THINK THAT MAKES ME FEEL? I WANTED TO START A FAMILY WITH YOU ON OUR OWN TERMS."

" WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. Were not even married. I didn't even finish highschool and you have the nerve to say you wanted to get ME PREGNANT?"

"Who said were we weren't getting married?" He threw me a box I opened it and a nice little ring was inside."

I threw a pillow at him. " Just LEAVE." I yelled.

" Fuck you Christine. When you pull your shit together tell me but for now were done."

" Your breaking up with me?" I said.

He didn't respond he just left. I cried my eyes out into the pillow. Little pathetic I know. I slid the ring into my finger. A perfect fit.

I went to sleep and woke up the next day.

" Ms. Hallaway the doctor will come in to have a word with you." A nurse said before leaving. The doctor came in and sat next to me.

" How are you doing?" He said. Looking at all the moniters.

" Ok, I guess."

" And the baby."

" Good." I looked down at my stomach.

" Look lets cut the crap.I know you were raped in that shower and I've already informed the cops and the only-"

" You informed the cops? NO." I interrupted

" No what?"

" No, I will not give you a DNA sample. I know that's what you came in here for so no."

" But thats-"

" No" I interrupted. " Can you just leave.

" Christine we need to bring him to jail who knows how much other people he can hurt out there."

"NO!" I pointed toward the door and he followed.

And he did why was I defending Danny?
