Colby's P.o.v.

"Shit man"

I mumble, "why did I agree to go to that party with Brennan?"

My head was pounding as I sat up. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot some ibuprofen and a glass of water becoming grateful for my roommates as I swallow the pill and get up to use the bathroom. Walking out of my bedroom into the hall I hear a voice appear to be...mocking somebody? Ignoring my need for the washroom I make my way towards the voice.

"We can't leave him here, she said, what if he gets rape, she said. Blah, blah, blah! Why did I listen to you Ally?" The mystery man said, stomping around his kitchen.

Wait a minute. THIS ISN'T MY HOUSE! DID I HAVE A ONE NIGHT STAND?! Well, he is kinda cute. I SHOULDN'T BE THINKING LIKE THIS! The internal panic setting in, but as he turns around and sees my face, he doesn't seem that confused at that fact I'm standing in his kitchen.

"Oh, you're awake, sorry if I woke you up."

" D-did we have a one night stand?" I ask quickly but he doesn't seem phased by the question.

"No, I dropped my friend off at home, took you to my place and you saw my bed and dove right in."

" Where did you sleep?" I ask him, mama didn't raise no impolite bitch (even if said not impolite bitch is standing in the middle a stranger's kitchen).

"On the couch."

"How are you not freaked out about all this?"

"There isn't a reason to be, I guess? and you seem to be doing enough freaking out for the both of us." He said, mildly amused. "I'm Ed."

"Colby."

"As much of pleasure it is standing here talking to you Colby, I'm hungry. You want some breakfast or is the hangover not gone?"

Thinking about it now the ibuprofen did help and my head was fine too. He didn't seem like a bad guy either (judgment about the integrity of a person he's known for all of 5 minutes now impaired by the offer of food).

"Sure, what were you planning on making?"

"Up to you really and then when you're ready I can drop you off at your house, sound good?"

"Yeah, thanks."
