Once his mother had seen the young boy exit the room, she ran up to him.
"How was it?", she inquired.
"It was.....fine.", he says.
The boy thought of the girl, he couldn't tell what exactly it was, but he did feel something, he just couldn't tell what.
As he got home, he laid on his bed, thinking about the many scenarios that would've happened. Her number, of course. He would've been talking to her right now if he had her number.
He checks his phone, seeing multiple messages from his friends, asking him how his therapy went.
He couldn't answer them now, at least, not when he figures out what to do with the girl he had met earlier.
Before he could even do anything, an unknown number pops out of nowhere. He opens his mail and sees a text from what seems to be Clary, who mentioned that her mother had talked to his mother earlier, and they exchanged each other's numbers before they left.
He responded quickly, a huge grin spread across his face as he indulged himself in the conversation.
He soon found out that she lives not too far from his house, just a few blocks away. His mind shifted to the scenarios of hanging out with her. Would that be too much?
"Jace, you have some visitors!", his mother called. Groaning, the lad slowly gets out of his bed, putting some slippers on before heading down.
He soon sees a bunch of familiar faces, and soon realized that it was his friends.
They greeted him with huge smiles plastered on their faces, tackling him in a group hug.
"So, how did it go? You weren't replying to our messages so we decided to check up on you ourselves.", Alex said.
"Well, it went alright.", Jace says in a low voice, debating if he should tell them about the therapist being a robot.
"Are you sure? You don't seem so sure, what did that therapist of yours say?"
They continue to interrogate him with questions until he finally couldn't take it anymore.
"Okay, I'll let you guys in on something. But you guys need to promise me you won't tell my mom, nor will you tell your moms. Got it?"
They nod, hoping to hear something good.
"The therapist isn't human, it's....a robot.", he breaths out, a small sigh escaping his lips as he finally lets it out.
His friends stood there for a moment, processing what the young lad had just said. All of a sudden, they all burst into fits of laughter. Neither one of them wanted to take it seriously.
"You guys can laugh all you want now, because since I'm going back again next week I can take a picture and show you guys evidence."
Before he could continue further, his mother interrupted their conversation.
"What evidence?"
He swore he almost choked on his own saliva after hearing his mother check up on him.
"Nothing mom, do you need something?"
"I was just wondering if you boys want some snacks, I just ordered pizza and chicken for all of you.", his mother nonchalantly told her son, not bothering to continue her questions.
"Oh sure, thanks mom.", he says, his tone slightly going higher.
His thoughts head back to the girl, he didn't know why he felt so attracted to her. Was it because of the way she looked? Or was it because she had the same condition as him? Whatever it was, there was no doubt that she was the reason why he enjoyed his therapy—even when it was a robotic therapy session
