TRIGGER WARNING: BLOOD AND VIOLENCE AT VERY END
I don't even know how it happened. It all moved so fast. It doesn't really matter anymore. I might as well just go ahead with the story.
It was just like any other night. Perfectly clear sky, cool breezy night. We were in our apartment; just, talking. The radio was on and playing some vaporwave.
She was looking out the window, staring off into the distance. She has always loved the look of the city from a distance. Not very much up close. I don't blame her. It has always been her dream to have a place overlooking it. She was overjoyed when I told her about this place. The look on her face when we toured this apartment was to die for. It was absolutely beautiful, just like always.
Then, we heard an infernal, unholy, screech. It rattled the walls and pierced our ears. We didn't know what was happening, we've never heard anything like it. At that very moment, an air raid siren went off. Off in the distance, in the city, soon, the one over on our side of the river went off. She screamed I ran to her to calm her down, she has always been more sensitive to loud noise. Her scream set off whatever the hell was out there. It crashed through our door.
