I was walking on an abandoned street. All me friends had gone home after the party. It was cold and I wish I had carried a sweater along. I decided to check the time from my phone and found out it was already 11pm!
I promised mom I'd be home till 10pm. Thinking of how she'll react when I reach home in a few minutes sent shivers all the way down my spine.
There was absolutely no one else on the street. My house was still about 15 minutes away. It was pin drop silence and all I could hear was the rustling of leaves on the trees planted along with the footpath. After a few minutes I just heard something. It was a noise coming from the woods. I decided to ignore it and keep walking. But something inside me just didn't allow me to let it go.
I stopped. I tried to concentrate from where the noise was coming. It was coming from the woods on the left side down the street. I followed the voice and it kept getting clearer. I saw a light. I stopped and hid beside a tree.
I couldn't see everything really clear but I saw a blur image of two men, standing only a few meters away. I tried to focus, I wanted to see who they were.
I decided to go and hide beside a tree a little closer. And even before I could hide again I heard a gun shot.
I suddenly turned towards those two figures standing far away and oh shitt! One of them shot the other. There was a man lying on the ground! Oh my God I just witnessed a murder!
