Shoto laid awake. It was late into the night, the sun was completely gone. The room was dark and he wanted to text someone. But the only person he wanted to talk too was Katsuki, and he didn't have the red eyed boys number.
Shoto has been having restless nights, it's nothing new to him but the reason why is sending him into spirals. He couldn't stop thinking of Katsuki. The Katsuki Bakugou everyone was scared of and thought was a demon on Earth. But even so Shoto couldn't help but see him as an angry little puppy.
Had he fallen in love with the boy? Yeah. Did he know it? Definitely.
========================
Katsuki cut a tomato in half and placed the halves in the bento box. He himself was as red as a tomato. The more embarrassed he got the faster he worked. It was the morning and he never hated cooking more before. Yet every piece of detail he learned about Shotos taste buds he incorporated in the meal.
Katsuki couldn't stop thinking of Shoto, feeling like he would explode whenever he saw the mismatched boy in the halls. He hates everything but emotions was his worst enemy.
"Since when did you make lunch for someone else?" Katsuki's mom strutted into the kitchen.
"None of your damn business" Katsuki glares at her. She responds with a wack hitting him in the back of the head.
"Don't talk to me that way Katsuki! What you got a girlfriend you're cooking for?" Mitsuki went from topic to topic ignoring her sons angry glares.
"No! I'm making it for an annoying bitch. He stole my fucking lunch spot and dosent even eat during lunch! It pisses me off." Katsuki slams the bento boxes shut.
"Your logic makes no sense! Just get to school brat!" Mitsuki put her hand on his back and pushes him forward.
==============
Did Katsuki get to the lunch spot earlier on purpose out of pure spite? Maybe.
When Shoto arrived he saw Katsuki sitting there. He hasn't opened up his lunch yet. Was Katsuki waiting for him? Just that thought made Shoto smile.
Katsuki noticed. He was taken aback at how pretty Shoto seemed standing in front of him. The sun outlined his face, gave him a golden look.
They just stared for a bit admiring each other. Till both of them snapped out of it embarrassed. Shoto quietly sat down, and the blonde lightly placed the bento box in Shotos lap.
They ate quietly building up a painful silence. Lately they haven't had a single moment where they didn't talk and when they stopped talking it became awkward.
"I've chosen what I want to do for college." Shoto shatters the silence.
"Better be good." Katsuki pauses eating.
"I want to be a therapist, I need to help people" Shoto stares at his food "I want to be able to help people in a way that I understand."
"Understand? What do you mean"
"I deal with depression and ptsd. Hope you don't hate me."
"Why the fuck would I hate you because of that?" Katsuki scoffs "Plus I get it, I have ptsd too." Katsuki didn't like to tell people that, but it's not like he was ashamed.
Shoto shots up and looks at the blonde "You do? Is it ok if I ask from what?"
"Don't you dare tell a fucking soul I told you this!" Katsuki sighs and scratches his neck "When I was in middle school I was kidnapped by a group of thugs or whatever. It never left me I guess and now I got stupid nightmares and shit."
"That's horrible, I've never experienced something like that." Shoto stares at Katsuki.
"Yeah yeah, now tell me what's up with you!" Katsuki bassically demands.
"Ok I'll give you a quick run through I guess" Shoto pauses and thinks about what to say next. "My dad is very manipulative. He gets angry at little things and screams at me saying I'm a dumbass or whatever else he could think of. When I was younger, he was very physically abusive, but he has calmed down since then. But yet he led my mom to hurt me, hence my scar, and her being admitted to a hospital. She is still there and I visit her once a week. She is a perfect mother."
"You were right, he is an asshole" Shoto snickers at the comment Katsuki makes.
"You're an oddly nice person you know?" Shoto smiles lightly.
"What's that supposed to mean? I'm always fucking nice! I'm a delight people are just too sensitive!" Katsuki waves his arms around.
"Yes because the Katsuki Bakugou aka the demon on Earth is such a nice soul." Shoto laughs at the offended face the now angry boy gives.
"Like I said people are too sensitive and pussies! Expect for Kirishima he isn't a pussy. And I guess you aren't too bad either."
"That's the nicest thing you've said to me." Shoto rolls his eyes. And Katsuki lightly laughs.
"I still hate you. I hate you for stealing my spot! You annoy me and interrupt my day." Katsuki grabs half of the tomato he placed earlier into his mouth.
"I called you nice, can't you act it a little longer?" Shoto sighed.
"Whatever. You're friends with that broccoli boy have him cheer you up." Katsuki waves his chopsticks around.
"No need. You cheer me up."
"Well you annoy me!"
"You can always leave."
"OH HELL NO! I'M NOT GIVING THIS SWEET SPOT AWAY!" Katsuki yelled this and no matter how hard Shoto tried he couldn't hold in his laughter.
"See, you already cheered me up." Shoto smiled lightly.
"Ew, shut up" Katsuki hated that the multiple colored boy made his heart race so fast.
