Percy POV

I laid in the cabin Poseidon going over the events of the last couple months. Over the last 6 years I had been on several quests, been the subject of 4 normal prophecies, 2 great prophecies and 2 wars. I had faced foes and enemies far stronger and faster then me and yet somehow I had still lived to this day. Maybe it was because I had never been alone. I had always had someone with me before. But what if something happens now. If a prophecy occurs now and I have to lead I will be alone. I have lost them, I have lost her. How can I go on?

I was laying on my bed when it started. The water from the fountain Poseidon gave me was getting louder. The darkness seemed to be seeping in everywhere and my breathing quickened. I was just about to get up when I was thrown into a flashback.

Flashback start

I stood on the battlefield against Gaia, looking around at the carnage. Many demigods were dead, some I recognised others I didn't. Clarisse was laying dead on the floor to my right, an arrow lodged into her side and her glassy eyes staring into nothingness. Further up Jason was battling against an Empousai before I heard a sickening scream and I knew he too was gone. Blonde Superman had fallen victim to the army of the primordial. I began running toward where a dozen telkhines were surrounding Hazel only to almost fall onto the floor when I saw them pounce and I could only watch in horror as Frank dove in front of her and they both quickly fell.

My tears were falling freely and my rage was churning as I watched my closest friends dying all around me. Their faces began to blur together as I slashed at the monsters. Dodge, duck, Parry, Leo. Slash, stab, block, Will. Roll, lunge, Jump, Nico. The ground began to rumble and the monsters all grouped together, watching with baited breaths as Dirt Face herself rose. Her black silky hair laced with flowers but her pure green eyes filled with malicious Joy. "RISE MY CREATURES, DESTROY THE SPAWNS OF THE DEMIGODS AND MARCH TO OLYMPUS!" She screamed and the monsters began stacking again with renewed vigour.

I ignored them all, killing only those who dared get in my way as I marched towards the goddess of the earth. "GAIA, FACE ME YOU COWARD! YOU HAVE SLAUGHTERED MY PEOPLE AND YOU WILL PAY!" I boomed drowning a large portion of her army in a tidal wave. She stared at me and did something I didn't expect. She giggled? She actually giggled as if I was some cute bunny that stood no chance. That only served to enrage me further.

I began to sprint towards her before I felt a pair of earthly hands grab me by my waist and hold me in place. "Perseus Jackson, the demigod who murdered my son. I have waited a long time to meet you sea spawn. You see, I wanted you to join me, to serve under your queen but you refused. I told you that you would pay for such disrespect and here you are. Now I could kill you Jackson. I could kill you and be done with it but that is not good enough. No, I need to break you." As she finished her sentence she thrust her hand into the air before pulling it back towards her.

I saw a piece of rock zoom past me but it was going to fast for me to see who it had captured. When it stopped I could not breath. She had my wise girl, my love, and she was holding a sword to her throat. "What do you say Percy, Shall I slit her throat with my blade?" She teased and I began thrashing as much as possible to get to her and save Annabeth. "No no no. That simply won't do. However I do have another idea." She said with an evil smirk.

Suddenly I felt riptide get yanked from my grip by a smaller rock hand only to be given to Gaia. She replaced the Earth sword for my blade that I had kept with me for years. She held that to her throat and I couldn't take it anymore. "DONT YOU DARE HURT HER!" I screamed. She just smiled at me. "MONSTERS, LET THIS BE THE START. THE FIRST BLOOD OF A NEW AGE!" She swung my bronze blade and I watched with streaming tears as my best friend and love of my life's head was ripped from her body.

I saw red. The winds picked up to speed of over 200mph, the earth shaking at a magnitude of 8.7 and the sea rose to form 50 foot waves at my command. I broke from the hand restraining me with ease and slowly walked towards the now terrified deity in front of me. "You have taken to much Gaia. You have stolen to many lives and taken everything from me. I told you that you would pay. You decided to take the best part of me out of my life. I swear this Gaia. I swear this on the river Styx. I WILL TEAR YOU LIMB FROM LIMB!" My sword flew to my hand and I was no longer a demigod. I was nothing.

My body had become faster then the air that whipped around us. My footsteps created fissures that led to the depths of the pit and caused many monsters to fall in. I vapour travelled behind the Murderer and swung my blade with deadly precision. She began to block but quickly became overwhelmed. She threw the earth at me and I shook it to its core. I was a son of the earthshaker standing in a battle against the earth. The fight was over before it had begun. She was a primordial of land. I was the sea. And there is more sea then land. I had reduced the earth to its knees and then I whispered into its ear.

"This is for Annabeth you bitch." Before I beheaded my tormentor.

Flashback end

I looked around and what I saw was not my cabin that I had begun in but the throne room of Olympus. Every god was staring at me in sympathy before Apollo spoke up.

"Percy, I know you are mentally ill, I can feel it. You are reminded too heavily of your losses at camp, but I have a suggestion. A group of mortals that can help you heal. They're called the..."
