It took me half an hour to drive to Ashley's house, but when I got there she was still in bed.
I pulled the covers off her and yelled,
"YOU ARE LUCKY I AM EARLY BECAUSE OTHERWISE WE WOULD MISS OUR FLIGHT GET UP!!!"
Ashley jumped up, she raced to her wardrobe grabbed some clothes, and ran off to get dressed.
"YEAH ABOUT TIME!" I laughed, she was so lazy!😂 I gazed around her room, I was so jealous as she had the best room. It was mostly white with plants and pretty framed pictures up with galaxies and stars. Her closet was huge and the clothes were organised into rainbow order. Her bed had white and silver pillows, as well as two shelves above her bed with a few of her favourite books, and a picture of me her and Bella eating ice cream! Above her bed she has a map of the world, and every time she visits a place she puts a pin on the map. She wants to go to all sorts of places, so do I. When we are older we will travel the world together on a private jet. As I am daydreaming, Ashley strides back in all made up and holding her suitcase.
"Well hurry up this thing is heavy"she says. "Sorry"I mumble. She follows me out to my car and puts her suitcase in the boot.
"So.." I say as we get in the car, "what music do you want to listen to today?"
"Oh come on you know the only artist I listen to is Ariana Grande!"she rolls her eyes.
"Don't worry I was just checking, you haven't gotten over her yet" I say.
I turn the radio on and put the CD of Ariana Grandes thank you next album. I turn the volume up louder and we sing along for an hour to her tunes, until we arrive at Bella's house. I pull up at her driveway and she waves through her bedroom window. So I step out and tell Ashley to wait in the car. I ring the doorbell and through the window I see Bella running down the stairs and shouting "I will get it!"
She opens the door and smiles at me, I wait her to say something but she doesn't.
And then she yells "I AM SUPER DUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS TRIP I MEAN I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO PARIS AND ITS AMAZING AND THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!" She stops and takes a deep breath. I step back and say "Woah calm down we can talk about it in the car." She nods and calls her parents to come say goodbye. I leave her to it and I walk back to the car. Once we are all in the car Ashley shouts "WE ARE GOING TO PARIS GUYS!!"
We all cheer, and we drive on for hours. Finally at like 1:00 pm we arrive at the airport. We all get out of the car and grab our luggage from the boot. Then I lock my car and we leave to go give my car keys in. After that, we walk to the main airport and go straight to check in. The line is soo long, we wait for about 20 mins just to check in our bags. Then we go up the escalator to security (my worst part). Ashley reminds me to take of my jumper as I forgot. We take any liquids out of our bags, and I get my laptop and camera out as well. We step through the security monitor thingy, Bella gets beeped at randomly. Me and Ashley wait with our bags till she had finished being checked out.
"Uhh I hate it when that happens!" Bella sighs. "Me too." I say. Then we stroll through duty free where finally we can start to relax. We find A sort of cafe and order drinks.
"Bella what would you like?",
"Umm a latte please".Bella says.
"Ok what about you Ashley? I will pay!"
"Can I please have a Frappuccino!"Ashley smiles.
"Okie!" I walk up to the counter,
"Can I please have a one medium Latte, one large Frappuccino and one large hot chocolate!" I say enthusiastically.
The man laughs,
" You seem like a bubble of energy!"he says.
"Well I am very excited about having a long week off for once that's all!!"
He gives me the bill for my order, and I collect our drinks and bring them to Bella and Ashley at our table.
"We have lots of spare time guys, do you want to go have a look around the shops after our drinks?"Bella asks.
"Perfect, then we will catch our flight!"I say.
For about 20 mins we all sit at our table and chill, I watch Netflix on my laptop, while Bella is reading a book and Ashley is writing a story she is working on.
~20 mins later~
"Come on let's go look around now!"Ashley pleads.
"Alright but only because it's to do with shopping!"Bella says. We all giggle. I gather my things and follow Bella to the shops with Ashley following slowly behind. By the time we have finished our shopping spree I have bought
two pairs of earrings, some body mist from lush, a few bath bombs from lush and some sweets to have on the plane. Bella has bought a few bath bombs from lush, a journal, a book and some headphones. Ashley has bought some sunscreen, a learning to speak french book, a sombrero hat, some new sunglasses and finally a body scrub from lush. Once we were all satisfied with our purchases, we headed to board our gate.
"Ok, it's gate twenty, between eighteen and twenty four" says Bella.
"That's straight ahead!"Ashley says. We head to our gate and sit down on some chairs and chat while waiting to board our plane.
"I wonder what Paris is going to be like! We have never been there before! Where are we going to visit first?"Bella says excitedly.
"Well, first how are we going to speak french?"Ashley asks. Me and Bella both look at her.
"Ash, Chantelle is like really good at french!"Bella rolls her eyes.
"Oh sorry I forgot!"she mutters.
"I'm not that good! Anyway, I think we should visit the Eiffel Tower first its iconic! It should be the first place to visit!" I say.
"Perfect let's go there first!"Ashley says. Suddenly, everyone starts to queue up.
"Oh we are boarding the plane now!"I say.
"YAYY!!"Bella shouts.
"Shhh!"I say.
"Whoops sorry."Bella says. We queue up with the others and wait in line. I get all of our boarding passes out of my mini backpack and show them to the lady at the front. She scans them and then says we can go. We follow the other people to a door which leads to the outside of the airport, where our plane is. We step onto the plane,✈️ and show our boarding passes to the Air Hostess. We find our seats, (32,33,34)
and we settle down. I get my headphones out as they start talking about safety because I have heard it multiple times. So I stare out the window while listening to Ariana Grandes new song.
~10 minutes later~
"Chantelle? Can I use your power bank I left mine at home? please!" Bella pleads.
"Sure"I say and hand her the power bank. For most of the journey Ashley continues writing her story while listening to music, while I do some scrapbooking and listen to music. Bella starts chatting to a random guy behind us and by the end of the journey, they are good friends. When we are told we will be landing soon, I open the zip to the front pocket of my mini backpack and I start handing out sweets to Bella and Ashley. Bella hands some to the guy behind us which is fine by me. I chat to Ashley for a while and we make a plan of what we going to visit. Finally the aeroplane lands and we all pile off the plane. As soon as I exit the plane I am suddenly hit by a beam of golden sun rays lighting up my face like a firework. I take a deep breath and breathe the fresh air. As I expected, it is very hot and the sky is cloudless. Me and the girls enter the building with glass doors to the main part of the airport where we go through security and passport control again🙄. When we all finish passport control I sigh with relief.
