Sunday flew by, mainly due to the fact that Tom spent most of the day studying for a big chem test he had the next day. He was having a hard time studying considering he took a break about every 5 minutes to respond to Eric. By the time Monday rolled around, Tom realized he hadn't seen Tori since Friday, the night of the carnival. Tori had driven Tom to school everyday since they had become friends, but he wasn't 100% sure that would be happening this morning. He didn't get more than a few texts from her this weekend, claiming she was busy. He was getting ready to wake his mom up when Tori texted him she was here.

"I'm here! Don't forget my banana. -Tori"

Tom slowly stopped chewing on the bite of banana in his mouth before turning around to face the counter. Yep, just like he thought he had grabbed the last one seconds before Tori's text came into his phone. He grabbed an apple for himself, his backpack, and his keys before heading out to Tori's car.

"Hey Tom!" Tori greeted him with a smile as he got into his car. "Mind telling me why the fuck my banana has a bite taken out of it?"

"Uhh well, um, I didn't exactly know that it was the last one until I had already started eating it... you can have some of my apple!!!"

"Apples are a garbage fruit and you know that! Honestly how dare you even offer me that." Tori said in a joking manner while backing out of Tom's driveway and heading to school. The two of them talked like nothing had happened and like Tori wasn't acting weird all weekend. Tom was feeling conflicted on whether he should ask Tori why she was being weird, which would probably ruin her mood, or let it be for now. He decided on the latter, he needed to spend his time focusing on his chemistry test in second period, considering he failed the one last week. His teacher was a complete asshole, who gives a test every single week. Tom always thought he had been decent at science, but this teacher is starting to change his mind on that. Tori and Tom continued to talk all the way to Math, which was the first of many classes the two of them had together.

"Class hasn't started and I'm already dreading it." Tori groaned.

"Even thinking about numbers makes my brain hurt." Tori's friend Chelsea overheard, nodding her head in agreeance. Tori turned to talk to her, while Tom decided to take the opportunity to take out his chem notes. He had just started to review Dalton's Law when his phone buzzed a few times.

"Good luck on your chem test later, I know you will do great because from my experience, you're pretty great at it. -E"

"That was supposed to be smoother than it ended up being. -E"

"What I'm trying to say is that we have great chemistry. -E"

Tom felt a smile creep onto his face as he read Eric's text messages. His focus quickly drifted from his notes to the phone in front of him.

"Wow, that was a struggle for you! And I won't do great, I suck. -T"

Tom put his phone down only for it to buzz the second it hit the desk. It always seems that when he has nothing to do, nobody wants to talk to him, but now that he should be studying, his phone won't stop (not that he minded as long as it was Eric).

"Hey now, you don't suck... yet. -E"

"Oh my god. WHY WOULD I EVEN SAY THAT??? -E"

"DELETE THAT MESSAGE FROM YOUR BRAIN AND YOUR PHONE. -E"

"If you need me, I'll be in the hole I dug for myself. -E"

Tom's eyes widened while his heart rate slightly sped up after reading Eric's messages. The last one came in a few seconds after the other three, making Tom laugh out loud a little.
