I wake up in a cold sweat. I have been having the same dream over and over again for last five weeks, my mom's car taking a nose dive off a 100-foot cliff. The thing that always wakes me up is the fact that's its not my mom in the car or her blood that splatters the always neatly kept front of the car but its me and my blood. I'm the one with my head bashed in and devoid of all life. My blood is the blood that's all over the windshield and dashboard.
I sit up in my bed and try to put the dream behind me and get ready for my first day at my new school. After a few minutes of clearing my mind I hear my step mothers wretched voice from downstairs "(y/n) get your ass out of bed right now! Don't make me come up there you devil spawn!"
my step mother has always hated me. Whenever my father is around, she acts caring and compassionate but both her and I know that she's not. When they first got together, I tried to tell my father that she's an evil and wicked person but he didn't believe me, he simply stated a matter of factly that "she's a lovely lady (y/n), you just need time to get use to her." Well I've had time to get use to her and she's still a bitch.
I rushed to my closet and grabbed my uniform and went to my washroom to change. After u had changed into my uniform I ran downstairs. As I walked into the kitchen, I saw my step mother sitting at the table reading one of her stupid books and drinking her "coffee" as she calls it but I know for a fact its vodka in a mug.
"can you drive me to work today?" I roll my eyes at her "why? You have your own car." She stands up for where she was siting "listen here you little shit, let me rephrase what I just said, drive me to work!" I'm use to this kind of shit, she pulls it every so often just so she can go out with her friends after work and get dropped off by them after, she's too lazy to call a cab so she uses me as her personal cab. "fine, get in"
