It's been at least 2 weeks since Marisol had escaped, she'd been wandering around in the forest hoping the hunter wouldn't catch her. The blood moon was here, and she was hungry, the mere thought of blood nearly drove her insane. She wanted it....needed it...she was just about to loose hope when she smelled it, Blood.
She followed the sent and soon found herself at the gates of a small village, she looked around and saw it...a man with a cut in his arm. If she hadn't held herself back, she would already be feasting, she quickly made her way into the village, she still had the mask but her hair was noticeable she tried to make sure no one would notice her pale skin. The smell of blood was stronger, "So...Hungry..."She thought.
She moved closer to where the man had gone and found herself at a small cabin, she looked through a window and saw the man, a woman, and two kids...her fangs grew as her hunger started to take control, her pupils became slits. She waited, and then took her chance. She went after the man first, killing him and then draining him dry, next was the woman, like the man, she killed her. As for the children, she couldn't do it...they were kids, when she saw the horrified looks on their faces, she ran. Soon enough the word got out there was a vampire in the village, so Marisol had to be more carful when she ate. One by one more villagers were being killed. Marisol couldn't help it, she didn't want to hurt anyone, but the hunger was painful.
Weeks later the town leaders had a meeting, one of them spoke, "We must do something about this Vampire problem!" Another joined in, " We could hire a Hunter! They'll get this out of our hands!" They all agreed, they would hire a Vampire Hunter to get rid of Marisol. A day later there was lots of commotion in the village, the hunter was here. Marisol was able to get a look at him, she was glad it wasn't the one from before. He was a young man, looked about the same age as Marisol, dark brown hair, fair skin, and toffee colored eyes. But the thing that stuck out the most, was a scar on his face. Marisol got nervous, her last encounter with a Hunter didn't go well.
Night came, and Marisol was hungry she tried to catch someone off guard in an alleyway but, he was there first. The Hunter tried to stab her with a sword, but she dodged it, Marisol ran as fast as she could, but like the last one, he was somehow faster. Hours went by and Marisol was still trying to get away, eventually, she was cornered. "Damn it!" She thought as she realized she was stuck. He spoke, "Finally, you're really hard to catch aren't you? Or am I just slow?" Even though Marisol had a mask on, she was terrified. It's like the confidence she had during the blood moon was gone, and she was back to the scared girl she always was. The hunter spoke again, "Don't take another step" Marisol didn't notice, but she did just that, "Hey, I said stop," she did "good. Now, take off that mask I want to see who you are." Marisol didn't want to, she was to scared. He spoke again, "Please, just take it off." She finally gave in and slowly took off the mask, a scared face was underneath. "So, you're the one who's been feeding off the people of this town, but, you don't seem like the kind of person to do that."
Marisol was scared, she didn't want to die, she was only 17! If this was how she died she didn't want to be forgotten. She started to walk towards the hunter he told her to stop but when she was about to come closer, "You think I won't kill such an innocent looking vampire?" There was a short pause, "you're right, I-I can't do it, so just-just end me." Marisol froze, did he really just say that? She started to tear up, no one would ever die for her, not even in her human life, she finally started crying, clinging on to the hunter, who was taken by surprised, Marisol was crying she had finally broke, the hunter spoke once more, "Why are you holding onto me? And, crying?" Marisol spoke, "You-you spared me, why?" "You remind me of someone, someone special to me." She suddenly shivered, though vampires can't expose themselves in the sun, they can get very cold.  The male of the two thought to himself briefly, "Might as well do the most cliche thing I can think of." With that he took of the dark brown blazer he wore and gave it to Marisol.
"Why are you doing this? Aren't you supposed to do your job?"
