Ally Smith is an Ares child. She's not the best at fighting in her cabin, but it's hard to be the best in the Ares cabin- only the toughest of the tough are put in that spot. Her silver dagger is a good weapon, but I wouldn't say it's the best weapon of all kind. She's better with her bare hands than anything else, but she can use the dagger pretty well. Style is her main focus currently- designing and modeling is her passion. Unlike most Ares kids, she's obsessed with designing new versions of popular designs with pen and design paper. Her free time is spent tackling jobs- it isn't the best of jobs. She has to tape up her works in progress by her bed and make sure they're unseeable to anyone who looks up at her top-bunk bed unless they come up to her bed(she doesn't want people to see). She throws the bad ones away, hiding them under other peices so no one can see them if they look at the trash. And finally, she puts the perfect designs in an ivory wood box painted with the words "Ally Loves". As you can tell, she's pretty sneaky herself. Only her four best friends know of the truth. And even then, those friends don't even know that much about her designs.
Piper Mclean (you've probably heard of her from the second series) is an Aphrodite child. She's head of cabin, although she isn't really mainly focused on beauty. She has natural beauty, but her clothes aren't her main focus. Her charmspeak is a very good weapon. When she uses it, she can convince anyone to listen to her. Her literal fighting weapon is a triangular mirror with a hilt. She, unlike other Aphrodite children, is child of Tristan McLean, international actor and a tomboy. Wanting his attention, she steals a car and other items. Well, not steal. She charmspeaks people to give her their items. She doesn't like attention because she understands what it's like to try to hide low. She's of Cherokee descent, and usually gets teased for this. She's dating a boy named Jason Grace, and has other friends, including Leo Valdez and a few people from the cabin.
Leo Valdez is a Hephaestus child(head of cabin, actually) that's prone to fire. He's the only one who can make fire come from his fingertips and not be destroyed by heat. He can control a mechanical dragon that lives in the woods of Camp Half-Blood, and can virtually repair and build anything. When he was little, he was babysitted by Tia Callida(Hera) who tried to train him by letting him play with knives and nap in the fireplace. His mom's death was Gaia's fault- she locked his mother in her workshop and made the workshop burn, leaving the boy the survivor of the terrible tragity. He has never been the best looking, with curly black hair, dark "wild" eyes, pointy ears, and a mischeivous smile. He's mostly a loner, but is commonly known with playing pranks and using his tool belt to get any tools or food he wishes. As told in The Lost Hero, "Leo fell in love with every girl he saw- as long as she was totally out of his league." I must also say, my favorite joke is this one, "Your catching me too, superman, but I ain't holding your hand."
Amber Jones is a Hermes child. Her weapon is a silver sword, previously owned by a demigod soldier in the Civil War. He had died saving demigods from the Titans. The sword's white hilt is ingraved with pictures of different religiously-related animals from Noah's ark. The one thing that makes it unique from a normal silver sword is the unicorn thats in with the swarm. She can, like gods, make her eyes glow golden to allow people to see snipits that will help them in the future. The bad part about the power is that it can sometimes backfire and make her see things that scare her about her future. She's not the most beautiful girl, but is friendly enough that to her that doesn't matter and is able to overcome it. She's not really into fashion. Her best friends are also on the quest- Ally, and the leader of the group, who is....
Abigail Waletter is the leader of the group. She's a daughter of Athena, and a smart one. Her friends include Ally, Amber, Piper, and Annabeth, another member of the Athena children. Her weapon is a silver bow and arrow with a whole set of singing darts that come back to you(for maximum usage) and an extra dagger for close-hand fighting. She's beautiful inside and out- her blonde hair flows around her shoulders and her blue eyes are electrifying. She hates one mark near her eye. It's her birthmark, and to her it looks like a wobbily freckle snake. Fighting his her first priority- fight, ask questions later. Sometimes that's a bit hard to stand by. Her one pet is a black and white pegasus that no one wanted. No one wanted it because it was different. She named him "Snake", because he had a little freckle snake like she did. Leo had invented a animal-communication device for her to use and sh'es been thrilled to use it. She speaks to Snake every once in a while, especially on warm fall days. Her special power as a daughter of Athena is that she can mentally project everything she knows in front of her, for everyone to see. Her knowledge is fragile, and when she projects it in front of her for everyone to see she gets very drained.
The last of the group is the most known, Percy Jackson. He's the head of cabin for the Poseidon cabin, mostly because he's one of the only kids in there besides his cyclops half-brother Tyson, who doesn't come around much because of his job of as head of the cyclops army. Percy is a killing machine, with his weapon/pen, Riptide, and his ability to control water and make hurricanes. He's dyslexia and ADHD, and he's been told that he'll do anything to save his friends. He's not the most brave and good-looking hero in the book, but is very powerful(he beat Kronus in the New Titan War last summer). His skateboarder image- black floppy hair and blue eyes- makes him look more like a child of Poseidon, possibly Poseidon's favorite child. His fighting techniques have him doing well, surely because he was trained by THE Chiron.
Well, he's not the LAST of the group. Of course, Chiron felt they wouldn't be safe without a protector. Their options were limited- it was either Grover or Coach Hedge. And, of course, they all unanimously picked Grover. Grover is a saytr who's been searching for Pan like all other saytrs. In fact, unlike them, he's the one who's found Pan. No one believes him, but it's true. Well, he's taking a break from his searching to come on this mission with Percy and Leo- after all, who wants to be the only two boys in a sea of girls?
