A 10 year old Samantha was playing with her 11 year cousin Cora. Sam's mother was in the kitchen and her father was with most of the pack in the basement. Everyone in the house was doing there own thing when Sam's father ran in the living room.
"Hunters! They've started a fire in the basement! W-We have to go!" He screamed making ever one panic. Cora looked scared at the basement door, knowing her mother and father where there. Sam's father tried to open the door. "It's locked. Where stuck." Sam started crying as the fire started to grow. It already took parents and children, making then scream in pain.
Sam's dad hurried to His wife and daughter. "We have to save her." Her mother told her father. "Zoey, I- How." Sam's father asked his wife. "You have to get her out of here. You are fast enough to get her out of her. Thomas, please." Zoey told her husband. Thomas nodded with tears in his eye's as he took Sam and hurried away. "I LOVE YOU!" Zoey screamed as flames took her down.
"MAMA!" Sam cried in her fathers arms. He found a window and broke it. He hurried out as flames hurried to follow them, luckily not getting them.
Sam cried ans Thomas placed his daughter on the ground. "Hey, cub. Don't be scared okay. Everyt-" Thomas was cut of by a dagger that was placed in his heart. Sam screamed as he fell down, Dead.
"Well, well. The miracle Hybrid child. Looks like I'm going to get promot-" The hunter behind the dead body of her father screamed as a wolf attracted him. Sam screamed hard as the head of the hunter fell from his body.
The wolf turned into someone Sam trusted with her life. The mother of one of her best friends. Kora Anderson. Or Mrs. Anderson as Sam knew her.
She ran to Sam and hugged her hard. "Oh sweetheart. Don't worry, I'll protect you, Your save with me." Kora whispered in Sam's ear as they walked off deeper into the forest.
Now...
Sam let a tear fall as she looked at a family photo of 7 years ago. She never took the death of her parents well. Watching her father being killed by a hunter, and seeing her mother being covered in flames was traumatic for a 10 year old.
