Monika had given me time to settle in, as I requested. She's not a bad person, I must say. In fact, her company is quite comforting. The understood that everything was happening quickly and that I needed time. But occasionally she'd pop into the classroom that I was staying in and hug me as tight as she could to make up for her being so lonely. I didn't stop her...
But one day she ran in as usual... and kissed me! Which startled me for sure. "Hi, Y/N!" I could see the joy on her face and decided not to ruin it.
I smiled. "Hey, Monika.."
"Do you... notice anything different about me?" She smiled innocently. I carefully examined her. As many seconds passed, her joyful expression grew blue. Then it hit me like a chainsaw right to the neck with blood splattering all over the cellar floor and walls.
"Your bow?" She squealed at my response. It was pink!
"I used your favorite color as my bow!" Hah.. it's not my favorite color, but I didn't want to disappoint her.
"I love it!"
