Saturday June 3rd
"Ok guys we are going to partner up and then head down to the beach for instructions on our first task" Mr Holten yells to the class. "Everyone look to your right and that is your partner" I look to my right and it's the one and only Daniel. This is good and bad at the same time. What if I spend the whole time looking at him or talking to him instead of doing the work. This can't be happening right now. I have to become a lifeguard it's my 𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓽 summer. I need to be very focused.

Everyone gets down to the beach and Mr.Holten starts telling us about the first task of the day. "Alright so the first task of the day is an obstacle course which you start at this line right here and you and your partner run as fast as you can and jump over this bar and roll under this bar then jump in the water and grab one of the ten fake body's and swim back to shore and do CPR until the plastic chest inflates and the fastest group wins" Mr.Holten says.

"Ok so here's the plan" I say and just stand there silent for a couple of seconds. "I got nothing" I say and sigh. "Let's just be focused and we can do this" Daniel says while smiling slightly. "Ok cool" I say. We start walking towards the starting line and get in our positions. "ON YOUR MARK....GET SET.......GOOO" Mr.Holten yells. I run as fast as I can and jump over the first bar then slide under the next and so does Daniel. Ounce we both reach the water we jump in and start swimming. While we are swimming I feel a sharp pain on my leg and I stop swimming.
Daniels P.O.V
I'm swimming towards one of the fake body's and all of a sudden Jordyn stops swimming. "Hey are you ok" I ask. "No" she chokes out. By now tears are streaming down her face. "What happened" I ask a little concerned. "I cut my leg on a piece of coral and it hurts really bad" she says crying. "Ok" I say. I don't really know what to say anymore I don't really know Jordyn that well. I pick her up anyway bridal style and swim to the fake body. Jordyn grabs the body and I swim back to shore. We get to the shore and I gently set Jordyn down on the ground and she starts doing CPR on the body. The chest inflated and it scares her so she jumps a little. I let out a quiet giggle. I stand up and yell for Mr.Holten. "WE FINISHED MR.HOLTEN" surprisingly we were the first ones done. Don't know how that happened.
