Artemis Followers: The Huntress Clan

Gina and Diana [Chapter One]

     Gina and Diana were walking in the forest when they found a rabbit with an arrow pierced halfway in one of its eyes, they rushed to the creature, but a thin elegant woman leaped from a tree down to the ground with a swift roll.

     "Do not touch this kill, for it is mine and mine alone," The woman said.

     "Who are you?" The girls asked the unknown woman. "My name is Artemis, I am the Greek goddess of the wild, and the hunt I have a guild or a clan of sorts but my last one left for a band of boys, " Artemis said to the two girls in front of her, "If you would like you can join my clan and as the first two you shall be the second in commands of the group if I am ever away."

     "So all those Greek legends are true huh?" Gina said.

     "Yes, every myth is true, the Roman gods, Greeks, even the ones in those small scrolls, what are they called..." Artemis said.

     "Comic books?" Diana responded.

     "Ah yes, Comic books" Artemis thanked.

     Artemis continued to explain the Greek mythology and such, while she spoke she skinned the rabbit and put it in her pack as she then tended a fire to cook the rabbit for the three to eat and Artemis wolve.

     As the night grew later and later so did the cold, they came to a stop and examined the butiful campsite in front of them, they had walked all day and must be fifty miles away by now.

     "So where do we stay, we're joining you," Gina asked Artemis.

     "This is our summer camp, we have a camp for each of the seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall," Artemis told them.

     "Cool," Diana paused as a hawk screeched, "So this place will be full of people before the summer finished, right?"

     "Correct, pupil," Artemis answered, "If we hurry and you earn us followers."

      "Wait, we have to get people to join?" Gina spoke out broken from her trance of playing with the goddess wolve.

     "Yes, how else would you get our followers to actually be with us?" Artemis responded.

     "She makes a good point" Diana said.

     "I will now show you around the camp,

you will be doing this with each follower you bring in, it will be very important for you to know where everything is," Artemis said.

     As she walked them around they made mental notes of all the things that were laid out before them, they took note of the bathroom area, the targets and dummies, the tents and there group names, the wolve fences that had enough room for about five wolves but held one each, Artemis explained that each wolve had its own follower, and that hers was named Tonori and they could pick their wolves and name them as long as they would tend and care for them.

     She also explained that to become one of her followers or a Huntress of the night the girls must pledge never to love a man or show affection to a man of any kind and will permanently be a virgin. She told them several times none of there vows could be undone.

     Also she explained that because of the high ranks the girls would hold in the creed that they would soon be granted knowledge of the Lupus form, otherwise known as Lycanthrope.

     "We are call the hunters of the night because we do not feel cold after our vows we do not feel cold, and we are in alliance with with the moon goddess Selene," The goddess Artemis said.

     "Selene will grant you the power to see through the night as if it were day, and I will forever grant you the power to sense all living within 200ft to know where your kill is"
