"Hey melo can I come in" I slightly knocked on the door
"Ashley I really don't wanna talk to you right now"
"It's not Ashley" giggling "It's Camryn"
"Oh I'm sorry, yeah sure" he stilled sound upset but when he noticed l Ashley he sound better
"So what you doing?" I asked standing at the door "Playing 2K" he said blankly he's usually very happy he just looked mad and exhausted "I can tell your upset" I looked at him "I just feel like I have no one to talk to, if I show I'm upset my dad will just give me more a lecture" his eyes rolled
"So talk to me" I giggled and laid down facing him on his bed
"I just really fucked up on the game today"
"Melo, you didn't fuck up, you gave it your all you can't fuck up when you get up, and did what you had to do I've lost competitions before, it hurt because I worked hard but I've always gotten back up and that's why I never fucked up" I smiled
"Thanks" there was a small pause between us just the noise from the tv
" hey can I talk about another reason why I'm upset?" He looked up with his hands on his hair. I nodded "Ashley gave me a massive headache about caring more about basketball than her, she just doesn't understand that I have a dream and I can't always hangout I'm tired,sore and stressed and I told her this before we even started dating, She just doesn't understand that I'm not like the other basketball players she dated, there playing for fun, I'm playing to get somewhere. Like apart of me thinks she's the one because we've known each other forever but then again she's stressing me out, and it's been going on for a while and I'm just tired of it, I feel like I'm faking a smile when I'm around her and it just doesn't feel right anymore, but then again a small part of me wants us to work." He said turning the tv off
" My mom told me, Sometimes we refuse to see how bad something is until it completely destroys us" "If you feel like something's destroying you now maybe let it go for a while, and if it feels good not having it, then maybe it was the right decision, if it hurts not having it then get it back" I smiled
"Thanks, I really need that" he hugged me and rested his head on my shoulder
