Today is mine and Brendon’s anniversary but there’s just one problem, he’s on tour. This year is our third year anniversary and for the past two years Brendon made sure he didn’t have anything planned on our anniversary, but I guess that didn’t happen this year. I sat on the couch staring off into space until my phone suddenly rang.

“Hello?” I asked as I answered the call not bothering to see who the caller was before I answered.
“Hey babe,” an enthusiastic Brendon said into the phone.

“Hey Brendon,” I say in a melancholy tone.

“Look, I’m really sorry I can’t be there today but I’m having a present sent to the house later tonight to try and make up for it,” he said with an apologetic voice.

“It’s okay, we can just celebrate it next week when you get home.”

“Okay, Y/N. I love you so very much and I can’t wait to see you, I miss you so much Y/N.”

“I love and miss you too, Brendon.”

“Y/N, I gotta go. Love you,” he hung up the phone before I could even respond. I hate this, I hate sitting around being mopey. I need to distract myself.

it was now 6 o’clock and I just finished cleaning the entire house and doing laundry. I walked over to the couch and sat down turning on the t.v. I decided to watch the new episode of The People Vs. OJ Simpson. I was 15 minutes into the episode when the door bell rang. I sighed heavily and paused the episode I was watching. I slowly walked up to the door and opening.

“Hey sexy,” I look up and see Brendon on the front porch smiling with a bouquet of roses in his hands. “Happy anniversary, Y/N.” I smiled for the first time in weeks and jumped into Brendon’s arms.

“I thought you weren’t coming home till next week,” I say looking at him.

“I changed the schedule around, I felt horrible about not spending the day of our third year anniversary with you. I had to come home. Now, are we gonna go into the house or what?” Brendon asks with a slight laugh.

“Oh, right,” I nervously giggle as he sets me back down and he follows me back into the house. I stand there awkwardly as Brendon comes in, he sets the flowers on the coffee table. He looks over at me and walks toward me. One hand grasps my waist as the other rests on the back of my neck, he looks down at me and he quickly placed his lips upon mine, kissing me passionately with need. Our lips part and he brings me into his chest, placing a kiss on the top of my head.

“I missed you so much Y/N, I’m so extremely happy to be home with you.”

“I missed you too,” I respond wrapping my arms around his waist. I suddenly, out of no where begin to cry.

“Hey, babe, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” He says looking down at me with concern.

“I’m just so happy you’re home. I was so upset this morning because I thought that you weren’t going to be here today to celebrate our anniversary and now you’re here in front of me. I’m just happy, so ridiculously happy,” I say whipping the tears from my eyes trying to compose myself.

“I knew you were sad this morning, I could hear it in your voice when I called. It  broke my heart to hear you be so sad,” he says kissing my forehead. “But I’m here now. What would you like to do to celebrate? Do you wanna go out to dinner?”

“Actually can we just go cuddle? You’ve been gone for so long I’ve really missed just laying in bed enclosed in your arms,” I say shyly.

“Sounds perfect,” he says with a bright smile across his lips. He lets me go from him and holds out his hand. “Shall we my lady?”

“Of course,” I say taking his hand giggling. We walk to our bedroom and get under the covers laying next to one another. I scoot closer to him, draping a leg over his, my head snuggling into his chest. His arms then wrap around my upper body, kissing the top of my head. “I’m so happy you’re here.”

“So am I, happy anniversary Y/N”

“Happy anniversary Brendon.” This anniversary was probably my favorite our of all of them. I loved Brendon so much, I was just so extremely happy to have him home.
