Warning, sequence of events can trigger past memories of abuse.
Nari, a high school junior, walked down the dark streets in her hometown after a long night of studying. It was typical thing that Korean students are expected to do since they were young. This was the norm. She hated to walk through these streets so late, but it was something she has to do in order to bring her family out of this town, to a better neighborhood. As she walked down these dark streets, she heard some footsteps that followed behind her. She tried not to panic, as it could just be another student who was on their way home. She started walking a bit faster, up the hill. Trying to stay calm, she just wished that they could walk by her, passing her ahead. She reached the stairs, but the footsteps did not stop. Her footsteps splashed water from the puddles that were formed from the earlier thunderstorm. The ones behind her marched as quietly as possible, so that their victim could not be aware of him, little did he know that she was fully aware that someone was behind her. She wanted to run. Her heart and brain were giving her a feeling to do so. However, it was too late. His ill intentions were there from the beginning and did not hesitate and took the opportunity to pull her into the narrow and dark alley, covering her mouth, as she struggled and wiggled to get from him. Fear. Tears rushed down her face filled with weakness as the worst is about to happen to her. The man had no remorse for the student. a group of men could be hear that they were laughing, as they got closer to the narrow alley. He slaps her, knocking all senses from her for minute, leaving her to fall on the dirty street. Seeing that she stopped fighting, he let her go. Now there was no way she could escape as 2 other men approached her.
"P-p-p-pl-lease, let me go". She stuttered with fear looking up, in her knees pulling onto his pants. They all laughed and looked at her with lust. One of them kneel down, and got close to her ear, and pulled her hair, bringing her head a but back.
"There is now way I am going to let you free. You are one porcelain doll. I just don't understand why someone like you would live here and have the nerve to walk alone at night." He sneered into her ear. Evil thoughts have been in his head since the first time he saw her walk past by him. He could not let such good opportunity go to waste.
"I think you should be grateful. You know? It's time you knew what being with a real man feels like." Her eyes became as big as a full moon. She flinches as he starts to kiss her on the neck. Tears streamed down her face, paralyzed at the thought of what is about to happen.
Alex walks down the same alley, Nari walked in. He is bopping to music on his way home from studying. Little did he know that that would be the last time he would be walking down that alley for the last time as himself. He continues to walk and nonchalantly goes upstairs and hears light screaming from nearby. He takes his earphones out decides to go closed to where the scrams are coming from. His heart beats faster as he hears the screams louder and closer. The people in the black van were waiting down the street, as they were waiting for a text to drive up the alley to pick the group of men that held Nari hostage as they tried to do things before abducting her. Alex, starts running until he stops in the alley Nari and group of men.
"Hey!" He screams, making everyone stop in their tracks and look at him, startled to see him. Alex took his backpack off and threw it on the ground. He recognizes Nari, a girl who he has seen a few times in the study room. The guys let go of her and started approaching Alex. This gave an opportunity to Nari, as she was released. She got up from the ground quietly and slid against the wall, trying to not be noticed. Alex saw one of the guys face clearly had a dark scar near his eye and a dark and a unique tattoo on his forearm. She successfully got away and ran away without looking back. "Run!" He made sure she got a head start before following right behind. The black van that was waiting in the street, turned it engine on to get the men in it. They got inside the van and chased the students. Without looking back, Nari ran away. She was far ahead than he was. The black van turned its engine on andsped up and without a second thought Alex was hit at a speed that made his entire body flip up in the air, just like the rag doll and falls down to the ground, hitting his head on a small rock. The black van stops briefly to have the group of men get in the van and leaves the scene. Alex's vision gets blurry and without another second, he goes into shock due to the amount of blood was lost and passes out.
