It was a clear summer evening in Japan, an evening that I wish I could have enjoyed at home but instead, I was on my home from my work, physically exhausted and mentally drained as stumbles around the city on my way to the train station. But before all that, I need to introduce myself to everyone here and my personal history first, my name is Fujimaru Ayumi, I work as an author and editor in a manga publishing company, the Okashima publishing. A company that I enjoy working for and my dream job. As if working in a company that produces manga was not on the list of dream jobs in the minds of the Japan youths nowadays. Actually, it might be the dream job for many youths around the world right about now, considering how the anime world has changed over the years. an industry where it played a major role in every youth's childhood memories. Animes and mangas such as One Piece, Naruto, Detective Conan and so on.
'It is so easy to create a story, but it is even harder to picture said stories' is what I have been told by my teachers in college and I have to agree with that since I have my own experience with that saying as well, as my first 2 stories was a total flop because I tried to copy the same premises of popular anime shows at that time. But my third one was the reason I got drafted to the publishing company in the first place. It was a magical girl type story but mixed with a bit of biker gang aspects to it. a weird concept to some but it gave a unique vibe to it, it soon became a popular manga in my area, and soon enough, the company interest in my work soon grew. After I released a few more chapters of the adventures of the Biker Gang Princess, Hakamoto Azumi as a Magical girl, the company hired me and funded my entire project which by that point was gaining extreme momentum. After my project ended, I continue to create more projects which were a bit underperforming but successful nonetheless along with other projects for the last 10 years.
Which brings me here now, just finish the latest work, a third installment of the Biker Gang Princess magical girl. And I was drained by the amount of work needed to be done, it was here where I started to think of my future projects while on my way to the train station from Tokyo back to the countryside where I resides, a bit unconventional but as a writer, you need the silence and serenity to work effectively.
As I arrive at the station, which was usually quite the empty considering that my work finishes around an earlier time than most of the office workers around the city, not to mention, one of my coworkers called the boss to tell him that I wasn't feeling well although in actuality I was on top shape, I may a bit burned out but I could still work. But nonetheless, he said I was dismissed for the evening and left work early. I guess I could catch up on the animes I missed during my work. But for some odd reason, the station feels... odd. Like the feeling that someone was watching you when no one was around, or the feeling that something was silently observing right from behind your shoulders, the feeling was still around when I purchase a ticket for the train, the ticket seller seems to notice this as well. since he seems to be looking around me before handing me a ticket, so I decided to ask him what was going on.
Ayumi: is something wrong, sir?
Ticket Seller: no. nothing, I just suddenly got an eerie feeling right about now.
Ayumi: I see... so I'll be on my way now...
Ticket: Seller: you sure? The train won't be arriving in ten more minutes.
Ayumi: it's okay, I'll just get a snack or something while I waited for the train.
And with a smile, I left the ticket seller, and went to get some colas, some chips and water before heading towards an empty seat and opens the water bottle for a sip. It was then when I notice something very, very odd. As I was opening the cap, I could have sworn seen a lady sitting right in front of me but as I blinked, she was gone which caused me to stand up and look around the empty station. So now, I felt quite terrified by the prospect of either seeing a ghost or the fact of my imagination ran wild again.
Trying to dismiss the sighting I sat back down and tried my best to just ignore the sighting and just focus on getting some water to drink. As I did so, I could see the lady again but this time, I could clearly make out her appearance and what she was doing. She looks like she was in her early thirties, with white hair, a light blue robe-like dress with a bit of dark blue on the lower part and in the middle of her dress running from the middle of her breast area downwards with a golden lining and some sort of weird design like thing on them. She also had some sort of halo thing around her forehead and some sort of object hovering above her.
As I continue to observe the lady, which I thought was a bit of a hallucination of sorts, I could feel the air around me getting heavy, the temperature dropping and my vision was getting blurry. In addition, I was feeling quite light-headed along with my vision getting darker and darker but the lady in front of me was getting clearer and clearer by the seconds. It got so overbearing that my head started to ache and I closed my eyes to get my bearings back but when I open my eyes once more, it was a bit dark and I found the lady I was seeing earlier, this time in person, chanting in a language I didn't know, but I presume not in a language I ever heard anyways while bowing down as if to pray.
When the Lady stops her chantings of sorts. I was sitting on the floor right in front of her, with my belongings beside me. Looking around, I couldn't tell where I was, other than a basement of sorts as I tried to stand up from the only to stumble down. The lady notices this and leans forward, holding me by my hand with one hand.
???: Please be at ease, Milady. Due to the summoning, your body is weak due to the fatigue of the summoning itself.
Ayumi: Milady? Summoning? Where am I in the first place?
???: we are currently at the Castle of the Celestial Realm at the center of the three realms to be precise.
Ayumi: Celestial Realm?
???: yes. Tis a realm, unlike the realm you formerly reside at. a realm ruled by magic and wonderous technology, a realm governed by angels, gods, machines, demons, and devils.
Ayumi: and who are you? Why am I here?
???: I am known as the Oracle of the Celestial Realm...
Before she continues, she lifted my hand and hold it with both of her hands before giving me a serious look but with a gentle tone.
Oracle: our realm is in danger and we request guidance from you, please bestow us with your blessings and wisdom.
Ayumi: umm... (looks around)
Oracle: please! (kisses Ayumi's hand) we beg of you! Lend us your power, wisdom, and blessings! (presses her forehead to Ayumi's hand) help us...
Ayumi: I would love to help, but what am I going to do? I am just an author and editor. I am not a wise person, nor am I a strong person at heart. Nor am I a blessed figure, I am just an ordinary author.
Oracle: there is no mistake here, you are the chosen one. You are the one who will lead the Celestial Realm to its utmost glory and lead us through many victories in the future.
Ayumi: (this must be a dream... or is it a real Isekai scenario) I...umm...
Oracle: I have proof of this prophecy with me...
Ayumi: even if you have proof that prophecy, it doesn't...
Oracle: I beg of you. Help us...
Ayumi: I will...
Oracle: (lights up in joy) thank...
Ayumi: but I can't do this alone.
Oracle: not to worry, Milady. I, the Oracle of the Celestial Realm shall aid you on this quest! So without further ado, let us head upstairs so we could recover your strengths.
Ayumi: okay. but can I get some information about what is going on here? (stumbles to get up)
Oracle: of course. Milady. (helps Ayumi to stand up) I shall explain everything in detail to pass the time.
Ayumi: (huh. I wrote Isekai stories before... I guess now I am having one of my own) thank you, Oracle...
Oracle: not to worry, (flings Ayumi's hand over her shoulder) you are weak from the summoning after all. This is to be expected from it.
Ayumi: I see... I guess I'll be in your care... (I always love Isekais, but all of the characters I have seen on those animes and mangas are those with great skills in their former lives. All I have ever been was being a writer...)
