L O U I S
I started to feel sick.
Being the germ freak I am, I couldn't help but stare in disgust at the slimy gray stone walls of the building that all of the campers were staying in."Was an asylum, you see," The cab driver informed me. "Got shut down in 1778. Nasty place it was."
I wrinkled my nose and zipped up my jacket. The rain was pounding on the top of the cab as it came to a stop about halfway down the street from the dorm room building.
"Um.. Excuse me? Why are we so far away? I need to be there," I said respectfully as I pointed to the retired asylum.
The cab driver chuckled. "Ain't no way I'm going down there! That place gives me this weird vibe, ya know?"
I rolled my eyes, grabbing my suitcases and climbing out of the cab. I paid the elderly man in the driver's seat before walking down the side of the road, my hood pulled up over my feathery hair. Chill bumps rose over my skin as I signed in, looking at my assigned dorm room. I slowly gazed up at the bone-chilling building and shook my head before cursing under my breath and hiking right into the front door.
I seemed to get lost in the halls for a while, my head spinning. I hadn't realised that the sound of booming laughs and constant chattering had vanished as I walked and muttered the directions the lady out front had given me about a billion times. I finally found my room and walked in. I froze in my tracks as an empty candy wrapper hit me in the face. The room was already a disaster. When I peered further into the room, I found a boy with dark curly, brown hair, bright emerald green eyes, and tan skin, sprawled out on the bed. He peeked up at me. 'He would be beautiful if it weren't for the tattoos covering his body and pieces of metal sticking out of his face' I thought to myself as I trudged in.
"Fuck. Are you kidding me? I got one, Lucy! I fucking owe you ten bucks. I got a dork!" He yelled, and a girl with bright blue hair peeked out of the small closet. Her smile was full of victory as she ran over and hugged me. She had more tattoos than the green eyed boy.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" The girl who I assumed was Lucy praised. I silently nodded to her. "What's your name?" She asked curiously as she proudly accepted the ten dollar bill the tall boy had whipped out of his pocket and handed to her.
"Louis.. Louis Tomlinson," I answered as I raised an eyebrow at the boy. "What's yours? I'm guessing you're my roommate, so I might as well know now."
"Harry Styles," The tattooed boy said as he watched me set my stuff on the bed opposite from the one he was on a few moments ago. I watched him from the corner of my eye. My father had told me to stay away from boys like that.
I nodded slowly, chewing my lower lip and unpacking all of my bags. I felt a little like a diva with all my stuff, but hey, who needs labels?
Lucy walked over and sat at the edge of my bed that I had claimed. Her and Harry were fighting in a whisper before she shoved him away and grinned. "Hey, Louis! You should come hang out with us! There's this room down the hall that we found, and we wanna go hang around!" She offered excitedly.
I glanced at an obviously angry Harry before shrugging. My father's words about being careful echoed through my head, but I pushed them out. "Sure."
Lucy did some sort of high pitched squeal and clapped as Harry grumbled under his breath and raked his fingers through his hair.
"We're leaving around 7:00! See you there!" Lucy said happily and slipped out of the room, causing me to smile at her.
Lucy was kind, and I already liked her. Harry, on the other hand, was obviously annoyed by me, and the feeling was mutual, so I wasn't thrilled when Lucy left me alone with him. He kept to himself mostly. He just laid down and, surprisingly, read a book.
I settled into the room until it was almost 6:00 o'clock. I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. The hot water felt amazing as it dripped down my back. After showering, I got dressed and dried my hair with the towel.
I found a bottle of hair gel that I assumed was Harry's and squirted some onto my hand. A little wouldn't hurt. I leaned over the counter and started gelling up my hair.
While gelling my hair, Harry barged into the bathroom door and hopped onto the counter. "Oi! I could've been naked!" I shouted. All he did was chuckle. Gelling my hair up for the first time was more difficult than I thought. Once Harry spotted me struggling with it, he automatically took the chance.
He hopped off of the counter and grabbed my wrists gently, lowering them as he turned my body to face him. "Let me do it," He mumbled with a smirk. Harry picked up the gel bottle and squirted a generous amount into his hand before raising his hands into my hair. I was forced to have a staring contest with Harry, his beautiful green eyes were shining in the light, and his teeth were sparkling with his lips spread out in a smirk around them.
"There you go, dork," Harry snorted, washing the hair gel off of his fingers and walking out of the bathroom, leaving me dumbfounded in the middle of the concrete floor with gel spread all over my fingers.
I looked up into the mirror, confusion clear on my face as I washed my hands. Something about Harry made me angry, but I couldn't help when I liked his longs fingers in my hair. I finally walked out of the bathroom, causing some annoyed grumbles from Harry about hurrying up and that we were going to be late. I slipped on my vans while Harry opened the door and tapped his foot while watching me. "Shut up," I said to him, rolling my eyes as I brushed past him into the cold hallway.
I smiled when I saw Lucy walking down the hall with a small group of people. Some had tattoos. Some had piercings. Some had both. I waved and Harry shoved me slightly. "Freak.." He said under his breath.
I did my best to ignore his comment and fit in as we all walked down the long hall. Lucy turned and slipped into a room with spider webs hanging in the corners. We all followed after her.
When I set down against the wall, I thought I'd be alone with everyone else spread out elsewhere, but only a few moments later I felt a presence next to me.
I turned around expecting to find Lucy, but I was met with bright green eyes looking into mine.
