. . .
As I was sitting there at his car's passenger seat, I never failed to wonder the what if's.
What if I didn't said yes?
What if I'm Paul's crush?
What if he is my boyfriend? Would it make any difference?
What if?
I felt Adrian's hand on my hand. I looked at him and saw his sad eyes.
"What's wrong?"
He glanced on the streets and me. Finally settling his gaze on the road.
"I was thinking. Did I forced you into this relationship? I mean did you just said yes just because of the stupid promise I forced you into?", Adrian muttered as I was looking at him. The truth is, Adrian was a good friend. He was my crush back when I didn't even know Paul. That is why we made that promise a long time ago. After he knew that I was crushing on him, he kind of told me that he likes me too. But that was the day of his departure.
"Do you love me?", he glanced at me for a moment. I processed his question in my head.
Love? It's too early to tell.
I sat there, frozen, not saying a word to him. I focused my gazed at the window beside me.
"Oh well, true love waits. I can wait, Sammy. Even it'll take a million years."
And there was a moment of silence.
