Human, Bella Swan, is pregnant with the child of her vampire husband, Edward Cullen. The Cullen family is torn on whether to support the fetus because it is slowly draining Bella from the inside because it is half-vampire. Bella only has two people who truly care for her during this time, Edward and his sister Rosalie. Bella is forced to lie to her parents about her condition to hide the fact that she is experiencing a supernatural pregnancy and that she will become a vampire after the fetus is born. Bella's placenta detaches and is forced to undergo an impromptu caesarean section. Edward bites Bella multiple times to change her into a vampire.
