I woke up this morning with a loud bang on the door.  Those little devils what the fuck did they want now. I stand up to open the door.

"What? ", I say looking at my two younger siblings Kate and Micheal. They are both really annoying but I still love them.

" Nothing, just wanted to wake you up cus we were bored"

"Really? ", I say getting mad, "you seriously had to disturb my beauty sleep because you guys were bored". "Oh you little pipsqueaks" I say chasing them down the stairs.

"Mom,mom,mom", they both call my mum and run towards her .

"What happened why r u chasing them", my mum asked , "These little brats decided to wake me up from my beauty sleep because they were feeling bored" , I say putting air quotes on the last five words.

I hear her chuckle and then I look down at my siblings who are both 8 years old hiding behind her leg. Kate is sticking out her tongue at me and I glare at them both and walk out the house.

I decided to go to Maya's house to go greet her since it has been a long holiday and it won't make me a good bestfriend if I don't go greet her.

I reach her front door and knock and while waiting I decide to look at myself using the reflection of the mirror.  And once I'm sure I look ok .

(Ok, the truth is that I like Maya like really, really like her and I don't know how to tell her how I feel , I don't know if she likes me too so I keep it to myself so that I don't go embarrassing myself in front of her. )

I knock on the door a second time and Maya's mom opens the door to let me in

"Thank you Mrs Manderley", I say

She looks at me and smiles, " Chris I told you to stop calling me Mrs. Manderley call me Ariana , Mrs. Manderley makes me feel old "

I nod

"Anyways Maya is in the wooden house at the back and only God knows what she is doing there".

"Hey what's up",Maya greets

"I'm fine,just came to check on you",I say

"Ihavetotellyousomething ",I mutter

"What was that?",she says

"I have to tell you something"

"What is it ?"

"Ilikeyou"

"What are you tryna say spit it out"

"Ok,I like u Maya Chantelle Manderley"

"Since when?"

"I've liked you since the day you came for my 12th birthday party wearing the matching pink dress and shoes and I didn't know how to tell you"

"But I already have a boyfriend"

As soon as she said those words my whole world shattered. Do u no that feeling when you have been trying to do something for a longtime and when you finally do it you find out it was already too late. That's exactly how I felt at that moment.
