Life Goes On Part 1

Our life on Earth is but a span,

This is a promise from God to man,

But through His mercy and Amazing Grace,

We move on to a better place,

Weep not for those who've gone before,

Just strive to meet them on Heaven's shore!

I'M MISSING YOU TODAY

To those who've left me behind,
My family and my friends,
I Can't believe I won't see you,
Til the day that my life ends.
It's hard to even imagine,
A day without a tear,
It's part of daily life,
Now that you're not here.
I miss you every second,
With every breath I take,
And all the happy memories,
Just cause my heart to break.
I know it's not forever,
It's only for a while,
And then we'll meet again,
And I'll see your georgous smile.
So for now I'll go on living,
And take it day by day,
And trust God that this heartache,
Will slowly fade away.
Then when I get to Heaven,
And we're all back together,
We'll live and laugh and praise our God,
For always and forever.

I NEED TO KNOW

I know we're not to question God,
But I have to wonder why,
God would call you home so soon,
To live with Him on high.
Why must the ones that we love so,
Be taken one by one,
And we're left here to miss you,
Till our work on Earth is done.
My heart is broken beyond repair,
It's hard to carry on,
Life will never be the same,
Now that you are gone.
But I'll trust God to give me strength,
And mend my shattered heart,
I'll cherish all the memories,
So we'll never be apart.
And I promise to one day meet you,
In that land beyond the sky,
Where we shall live forever,
And never have to say goodbye.

THANKFUL

God is great and life is good
But I don't thank Him like I should
Help me Lord to do my part
And live each day with a thankful heart.

YOU'RE A TRUE FRIEND

As I travel through this life,

I stumble and sometimes I fall,

But I always find the strength to get up,

'Cause I know I have you to call.

You've been there for me a thousand times,

You never let me down,

And I'll always be the best I can be,

As long as you're around.

I can never make it on my own,

And it's great to know you're there,

'Cause if there's one thing that we all need,

It's a friend who really cares.

So there's one thing I have to say,

Before my life shall end,

I have to tell you I love you,

I lean on you my friend.

HAND IN HAND

I cannot stand alone,

I need my sisters and brothers,

the only way to get through life,

Is to get strength from each other,

Triumpantly forever,We'll face life's storms together,

Hand in hand,

And bound in love.
