What kind of outgoing student like 21-year-old Song Mingi wouldn't enjoy letting go and having fun? What could possibly make him not want to take chances, see what kind out trouble he could get into?
New history teacher Kim Hongjoong. Mr. Kim, the most beautiful yet absolute fun-killing professor at Mingi's college. He's very intelligent though, managing to get his PhD at the age of 25.
His smarts showed in class, definitely, and Mingi was having a lot of trouble with the assignments. He already wasn't the best at history, most of the events never stuck in his brain.
Not like he really tried to stay out of trouble or anything, he just worried he would need to have good grades to make up for the daring stunts he pulls.
"Mr. Song. Song Mingi?"
Mr. Kim now hovered near Mingi, trying to get him to pay attention. Apparently, once the bell had rang, Mingi had been called over to his professor's desk. Something regarding a broken nose, possible suing, and punishment.
"Yes, Sir?" Mingi said calmly. He knew what this was all about, but didn't see it as a problem. "I was notified that you beat up a fellow student in my room yesterday." He started.
Mingi looked down to match the glare of his superior's eyes. Kim Hongjoong was a mere 178 centimeters in height, while Mingi towered over him at 183 centimeters.
There was a more formal aura about the small man. He wore a plain white shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a blue tie around the collar. His pants were plain too, being the most common offset black color usually seen worn by businessmen.
Though, he did constantly wear at least three rings divided between his two hands. And now that Mingi had gotten a second look, he noticed a gold hoop in the helix of his right ear and a longer earring hanging from the lobe. Which was different from before.
"You were caught on camera while I was out of the room. Mind explaining?" He said again, shifting on his feet. Mingi glanced down and noticed a pair of Doc Martins™ laced up over his pants.
"Sorry, Mr. Kim. I do not know why I hit him." Mingi smiled. He felt like a sly cat. "Well," Mr. Kim adverted his eyes to pick up something. "If you pay for half of the medical bill, you can avoid getting sued."
Mingi was a bit angry now, as he didn't expect to get fucking sued this early on in the year.
"I'm not doing that bullshit." Mingi narrowed his eyes, watching Hongjoong's face also shift into one that looked slightly angry. "Mingi, I swear to God! You must,"
He insisted, still. He sighed and tousled his hair then grasped onto Mingi's arm. "I promised your dad that I wouldn't let you get into more trouble!" He hissed.
"I don't need your help, Hongjoong," Mingi shot back. "Because last time I checked, you decided to stop hanging around me. You left me without any friends." He finished with a scoff.
"Mingi," Hongjoong started, still frustrated, mind you, "I didn't have a choice. I had to do what my parents said, and that meant moving away."
Mingi didn't care, really. As long as his old friend wouldn't get in the way of his fun. "Whatever, Mr. Kim. I don't care what my dad says, you can just back off and let me do me."
Hongjoong let out a frustrated breath and turned back towards his desk. "Quit being difficult, Mingi. Honestly, do whatever you want to, I'll tell your dad you're fine if you can manage not to get sued," he paused, scanning Mingi with a glint in his eyes.
"Or hurt. If anything bad happens to you, I'm stepping in whether you like it or not!"
"Good," Mingi says, finally. He grabs the strap of his bag. "Not that it'd be hard for you, heartless bas—" Mingi was cut short when another teacher strolled into Hongjoong's room.
"Hello, Ms. Jung." Hongjoong says, adverting his attention from Mingi in front of him. "I was just discussing some things with Mr. Song. What do you need help with?"
Mingi narrowed his eyes again at his superior. "Have a nice lunch break, Ms. Jung. Mr. Kim." He says, bowing. He catches Mr. Kim's eyes, sending a death stare into his soul.
Hongjoong winked back.
Mingi walked away.

One - End 🌸So this is the first chapter,,,, I know it was kinda out there and I do admit that I wrote frantically just to get this published today.
Specifically, I wanted to celebrate Treasure Epilogue: Action to Answer because it actually made me c r y since the MV for "Answer" was beautiful. Mingi and Hongjoong blew me away at that lil part at 2:46 where they harmonized,,,, it was so pretty, their voices compliment each other so well!!
And I've gotten sidetracked (a bunch) so, mainly, I want to say that I started this a while ago, but was trying to perfect it so well,, that I noticed that I was getting a ton of writers block and didn't really have the passion to write what I was writing. So I changed it up today, and produced something I think is a lot better. Tell me if it feels rushed or anything, preferably after I've posted about two more chapters?? It'll be a bit slow, but I'll try my hardest to make this good :)Word Count: 934
