It was around ten-o'clock in the evening on December twenty-fourth, seventeen year-old Dean Winchester was smiling at his phone's lockscreen. A picture of his sixteen year-old boyfriend, Castiel. They had been together for almost five months now. Their relationship was kept secret for the first four months, mostly because of Dean's Father, John. John had been gone for a while now, but Dean always waits for his return. Sam, - Dean's twelve year-old brother - would prefer it if John stayed away, never to return.

Dean and Castiel met in grade-nine, just about two years ago. They became close friends fast, Dean never expecting anything more. But, that all changed about a year ago, when he got wasted at a party and kissed Castiel. Neither of them spoke about it, except for Dean when he apologized the morning after it. It was after that night, that Dean finally realized his true feelings for Castiel. He had fallen in love with the boy with the bluest eyes, the eyes that would drown Dean and get him to confess to any lie or secret he ever told Castiel.

Tonight, they had a date. They were going to see the Christmas lights around the neighborhoods; Castiel was always obsessed with them, ever since he was a little boy.

Castiel, was wondering what clothes to wear; he didn't want to be too formal or too casual, just right in the middle. He styled his hair just right, spiked up but still nice. Dean would probably end up messing it up, he never liked it when Castiel would put gel in his hair. It didn't have its usual softness, it was rough and sounded crunchy.

Castiel glanced at the time, realizing it had been more than five minutes since he first stood in front of his closet. He'd be running late to meet Dean if he didn't hurry up. Castiel decided on his usual outfit, a white button-up and black skinny jeans, paired with his black and white Vans hightops. He grabbed his keys, wallet, and phone, shoving them in his pockets. He bid his large family of multiple brothers and a few sisters goodbye, as he walked out the front door.

Dean, walked out of his house around ten-thirty, and he smiled when he saw Castiel down the street, the street-lamps lighting their path. Dean walked up to him, immediately embracing him and kissing him. When they pulled away, Castiel glanced up at his boyfriend's fanfiction green eyes, smiling.

Castiel smoothed down his button-up, "Do I look alright?"

Dean took his hands, flashing him a grin, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight."

As they walked through the street, talking about everything and nothing, looking at the different Christmas decorations, they couldn't help but notice some people glance their way.

"Why do people keep looking at us?" Castiel asked Dean, taking Dean's hand.

Dean turned his head to Castiel, looking down at him, "Because, they're turning to see the beautiful boy that's walking around with me."

"You're too cheesy." Castiel laughed.

"Only for you." Dean smiled and never took his eyes off of Castiel, while they were stopped at this one house. It was completely decorated, the grass and sidewalk too.

"You feel alright?" Castiel teased, "You're being extra-romantic."

"Yes, I feel wonderful tonight." Dean answered, stroking the back of Castiel's hand with his thumb. Dean felt wonderful tonight because he could see the love-light in Castiel's eyes. And the wonder of it all, is that Castiel just doesn't realize how much Dean loves him.

After a while, it was time for them to go home. The last house was also decorated way too much, but with constant flashing lights. The two joked, calling it Seizure-House. Dean's head started to ache because of it, his eyes also feel strained.

Dean walked Castiel home, the two discussing their plans for Christmas morning, tomorrow. Castiel had invited him and Sam over for Christmas dinner, knowing his parents wouldn't mind it; they loved Sam and Dean.

When they reached Castiel's house, Dean stopped them in front of the front door. The porch light was on, moths flying around it. Dean took both of Castiel's hands, "My Darling, you were wonderful tonight."

He took a deep breath before saying the next sentence, "I love you."

Castiel grinned, reaching up and kissing Dean deeply. He pulled away, "Oh, Dean, I love you, too."

They parted ways, Castiel watching as Dean walked down the driveway and back to his home. Castiel went inside, his two older brothers - Lucifer and Gabriel - teasing him about Dean.

When Dean got home that evening, he told Sam everything from when he first stepped outside until he walked home. Sam was happy for his older brother.

Both, Dean and Castiel, fell asleep with smiles on their faces.
