Author's Pov
“You can go home, you know. Your salary won't be affected.” Seokjin said sweetly, sipping on his tea, eyes following Jimin's figure moving around to make the flower bouquet perfectly.
“Thank you Seokjin-ssi but I can't.” Jimin replied, his tone a tiny bit flat, trying his hardest not to offense his boss.
“There'll probably be many customers today.” Jimin turned around, his face scrunched up cutely with confusion.
“Why though?” He asked. Nowadays who cares about flowers? That business works well only on special events like Valentines Day or someone's birthday or something. Normally people don't even bother with natural flowers. They can just send a text to their lover/family, everything's being done through the Internet anyways.
Jimin has always appreciated and loved flowers, be it for their colors, scents or shapes, which is why he grabbed the opportunity to work here. His mom told him each and every importance of flowers, taught him how to make the prettiest bouquet, which and what flowers would go well with different events.
He only wish he had someone who would bring him flowers, some day.
(no offense to those allergic to flowers. It's just for the story, sorry!)
“You don't know?” Seokjin questioned, glancing at the clock behind Jimin then back to Jimin who shook his head, his fluffy hair swaying from side to side.
“There's this inauguration which The Jeon Jeongguk will be going to. Thousands of people, mostly girls, are going there just for his sake, so obviously they are going to buy flowers to 'impress him', he totally won't be impressed btw.” He rambled, shrugging a shoulder. Jimin sat in front of Seokjin, resting his elbows on the table and squishing his face in his palms, ears perked up in interest.
“I never heard of Jeon Jeongguk. Who's he?” He asked genuinely, straightening his back at Seokjin's surprised face.
“You don't know Jeon Jeongguk?” Jimin shook his head again. Seokjin cleared his throat and sipped his tea again.
“You clearly must be living under a rock, Jimin-ah.” Jimin's face flushed red, brushing back stray strands across his face.
“Jeon Jeongguk is literally one of Korea's most influential and richest business man, followed after his dad obviously. Actually not just Korea but Asia as well. And extremely handsome also. Has both guys and girls falling for him like water from an old ass ceiling.” Jimin giggled making Seokjin smiled.
“Thank you for telling me Seokjin-ssi. Life's been hard on me. It's not easy to keep up with outside's news when you're very occupied on earning money for someone.” Seokjin smiled sympathetically and squeezed Jimin's hand in a reassuring way.
“It's going to be okay and please stop calling me Seokjin-ssi, making me sound like an old man. I'm not old, it's my blooming age. Just Jin hyung is okay.” Jimin giggled and nodded.
“Btw when you close the shop, just keep the duplicate with you. I have an original one with me.” Seokjin stated, sipping the last sip of his tea. Jimin stared at him for a good while.
“What?” Seokjin asked, raising an eyebrow at him. Jimin blinked blankly at him and shook his head.
“You're trusting me with your shop?” He asked bewildered. He did not expected that. Seokjin nodded and shrugged his shoulders.
“You seem like a good person, I like you. Besides, this isn't the only shop I own but I'm still trusting you so don't do anything you might regret.” Jimin gulped at his sudden serious voice and nodded, bowing repeatedly to show his honesty.
