Being the captain of the Avengers was hard work and caused stress for both the body and mind. The week had been long and tiring and all Steve wanted to do was flop down on his bed and sleep for a week more. He didn't even make it to his bed and collapsed face first on the couch in the empty living room.
Tony just so happened to be passing by and noticed his boyfriend's form on the couch. He stopped and casually leant against the doorframe. "Hey babe," he said and only got a groan in response. He frowned slightly, "What's wrong, you not feeling good?" he asked, concern clear in his tone. Steve turned his head so that his words wouldn't be muffled by the cushions.
"I'm just exhausted," he said. And boy did he look it. Despite the serum making him as close to physically perfect as one could dream, he was still human with human needs and limits. There were deep circles carved out from under his eyes and his general peppiness and energy seemed drained from him.
"You look exhausted. Can't blame you after the week we've had. I'm still sore from that last battle," he spoke, rolling his shoulder to drive the point home. "But you look particularly beat. Want me to help fix that?" he offered. Steve couldn't really say no to that. It sounded amazing, and anything Tony had planned for him would surely make him feel ten thousand times better.
"Sure. What do you have in mind?" he asked and rolled on his back to look at him. Tony smile and walked over, sitting down on the couch and facing him. He straddled his waist and wiggled a bit until he was comfortable.
"I'm gonna treat you like how you deserve to be treated," he said in a smooth voice. He reached up and cupped his face with a warm hand and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. Then he rubbed his hands down his chest soothingly. Steve tilted his head back and let out a contented sigh. This was amazing. His body ached from all the physical strain he had put himself in, and it would take a day or so for his body to get back to his normal state. Not to mention it just felt nice. It was always a sweet little surprise when the person you loved wanted to pamper you out of nowhere.
Tony took one of his arms and held it out to his sides, working out the kinks in the tensed muscle. Steve allowed himself to relax, but the higher Tony traveled up him arm, the harder it was for him to keep still. The touch became more tickly and he found himself gently tugging on his wrist and trying to squirm away. Steve's sensitivity was no secret to Tony and he smiled, finding it endearing that he could stop him if he really wanted to but chose to let this happen.
"Be still will you? I still have to do your other arm," he said softly. Steve nodded and did his best to stop moving. He allowed a few giggles to slip out of his mouth and bawled his hands into fists, the sensation too light and and too much all at the same time. Once he finished massaging his biceps, he crawled down to the other end of the couch and patted his lap.
"Here, let me rub your feet."
"Ohokay," Steve said, not one to complain. He set his feet in his lap and laid back on the couch, ready for the aches and pains to melt away beneath his touch.
Tony massaged his soles, making sure to do so thoroughly. Then he started grazing his nails along the skin, watching as Steve twitched and jerked with his suppressed laughter. Gently scratching the arch, he smirked when Steve's laughter picked up a notch. He snorted quietly, hand covering his mouth and eyes crinkling at the corners. It was truly a beautiful sight. Tony drew circles on each little toe with his nail, driving Steve mad. He decided to work his way back up and continued doodling lazy patterns on his ankles and the tops of his feet. Normally people never paid attention to those spots, leaving them incredibly receptive to the new touch. He drummed his legs against the couch, laughter kicking up a notch.
Tony continued the tickly massage up his legs, squeezing up his calves and thighs. Steve writhed underneath Tony but still did nothing to stop him, loving every second of it. Tony crawled up his body laying on top of his chest, trapping him underneath his weight. He peppered kisses up his neck and all over his face. Steve scrunched up his face, a hum of content slipping through his giggles at not only the feeling, but at Tony's sweet actions. It warmed his heart how affectionate the genius could be.
He carded his fingers through the blond hair, and Steve closed his eyes letting himself enjoy it. "You really shouldn't spoil me so much. I'll go soft."
Tony smirked and cuddled closer to him. "I know, but sometimes it's good to indulge the senses."
The week may be long and weary, but Steve's willing to go through anything if it means he'll get to come home to Tony.
